Getting started
- Create your SignWith accountSign up with your email and a one-time code, then complete your profile. No credit card is needed and 3 documents are free every month.
- What is on your dashboardThe dashboard shows your documents, what is waiting for a signature and recent activity. Every account can sign 3 documents free every month.
Preparing documents
- Upload a documentUpload a PDF, JPEG or PNG from your computer. It opens straight away in the editor, where you add fields and signing parties.
- Add and rename signing partiesA signing party is a named role, such as Client, that owns a set of fields. Every new document starts with one party called 1st Party.
- Add fields to a documentPlace Text, Signature, Initials, Date, Number and Checkbox fields on your document, then open each field's settings from the FIELDS list.
- How the Signature and Initials fields workChoose whether a signature is drawn, typed or either, make fields required, and copy Initials to every page of a long contract.
- How the Date field worksThe Date field records a date, usually the signing date. Pick one of nine formats so day and month read correctly for your signers.
- How the Text and Number fields workText fields collect names, emails and other words, with validation such as Email or ZIP. Number fields collect amounts with format and alignment.
- How the Checkbox field worksA Checkbox lets a signer tick a box, for example to accept an optional clause. It is optional by default and can start ticked or unticked.

Records and proof
