Signicat Review 2026: Pricing, Features & Honest Verdict
Signicat review 2026: Dokobit, its signing portal, is free for 3 signatures a month, then from €8 a user a month, billed per signer. No MCP server for signing.
Signicat is a Norwegian digital identity company, and the e-signature product a small business can buy from it without a sales call is Dokobit.
In October 2026 Dokobit is free for 3 signatures a month, then €10 a user a month on Professional on its Baltic price list (€14 for countries it does not list, such as the US), before VAT, and it counts every person who signs as a separate signature.
My Signicat review in one line: serious European signing with bank IDs, national ID cards and qualified signatures behind it, priced per signer, and built for people whose signers already have a European eID.

Signicat review verdict: who it's for and who should skip it
Signicat is worth paying for when your signers sign with a national eID: BankID in Norway or Sweden, MitID in Denmark, Smart-ID or ID cards in the Baltics, itsme in Belgium. It is also a qualified trust service provider, so it suits businesses that need qualified electronic signatures.
It is poor value for someone whose clients just need to sign a PDF. Dokobit charges a monthly seat, then bills every signer once any free allowance runs out (a US buyer's paid plans include none), and a signer outside its eID countries signs with an SMS code at €0.55.
Best for: Nordic and Baltic businesses; teams that need qualified signatures or video-verified signers; companies that want signing and identity checks from one vendor.
Skip if: your signers are in the US or UK and just need to sign, you want one price per document, or you need the API without talking to sales.
Here is how users rate Signicat and its Dokobit signing apps, checked October 9, 2026. The G2 and Capterra listings cover Signicat as a whole, including identity verification. G2's star breakdown shows its 8 reviews as 6 five-star and 2 four-star.

| Chrome Web Store, Dokobit extension | 3.0 / 5 | 25 ratings | The browser extension for ID-card signing, 80,000 users |

What users say about Signicat
Most public reviews of Signicat's signing are about Dokobit: its phone app on the App Store and Google Play, and its Chrome extension for signing with an ID card. I label those Dokobit by Signicat below and quote only those about signing or paying for it. Signicat itself has 8 reviews on G2 and 1 on Capterra.
Below, the complaints are grouped by theme and given in full, with a few positives. Quotes run from 2016 to 2026, are copied as written, and link to where they were posted. Quotes not written in English are shown in the original, followed by our English translation.
Pricing and billing: the free plan runs out fast
The money complaints are about the free plan (too few free signatures, and signed documents a reviewer says others could not open) and about cost: two G2 reviewers call Signicat costly for startups and small businesses. One older App Store review describes a subscription the reviewer could not find or change.
“Nothing but its costly for some small startups and new organisations...”
His dislikes, in a 4.5-star review titled "Signicat Review". His likes are about customer identity management. G2 marks it incentivized.
“It's little costly for new startup and small business...”
His dislikes, in a 5-star review titled "Signicat is a very helpful software for signature management." G2 marks it incentivized.
“Works great for signing documents, but its a shame that they only allow 3 documents per month on a free plan”
A 5-star review titled "Great app for signing documents". The pricing page counts 3 signatures a month, not documents.
“Just 5x signatures free, if need more or didn’t understand app correctly and need to redo signature, then prepare to open your wallet, not recommending!”
A 1-star review titled "Another money milking app!" The free plan lists 3 signatures a month in October 2026.
“In free version is useless as no one will be able to open you signed docs, except of dokobit application.”
A 1-star review.
“Not possible to see the subscription, it doesnt appear nor in subscription folder on device with program, nor in settings, no letters about invoicing, just money go away at night.. no functions to somehow change the subscription. The distance contract is actually one side.. For the private persons non adequate charges.. looks like very big fake to me”
A 1-star review titled "Subscription".
“Все в целом нормально, из минусов, в последнее время нужно донатить, если подписываешь больше 3 документов”
Original, in Russian. A 5-star review.
I found no user review about Dokobit's per-signer billing or its per-country prices. Those come from Dokobit's own pages, covered in the pricing section below.
Support: few ways to get help
Support complaints are short and few: unclear setup documentation, no contact details, no help after a failed upload, and an extension user sent in circles while setting up his ID card. Dokobit replied to a 2021 App Store review about errors by asking the reviewer to email its support team.
“The quality of the service is not perfect and there is not enough product improvement. I would like to see improvements in technical fluidity, webview management, and UI enhancement. The initial setup was complicated because the documentation was not very clear...”
The dislikes in a 3.5-star review titled "Innovative Service, but Improvements Needed". G2 marks it "AI Translated".
“App dosent let you sign in, no contact details for help”
A 1-star review.
“Nepavyko ikelti dokumento. Jokiu pranesimu, jokio palaikymo.”
Original, in Lithuanian. A 1-star review.
“I just does not work. Windows 11 tried both Chrome and Edge. Spend 1:40 minutes by now and 3 phone calls to migris going circles - suggests to install more software drivers, and there's a list of 6 possible USB cards, and no one knows which is which”
About setting up the extension. His phone calls were to Migris, Lithuania's migration department, not to Dokobit.
“App works too slow, there something wrong with the sPin2 service - errors all the time…”
A 1-star review titled "Works slow". Dokobit replied the next day and asked the reviewer to contact its support email.
Ease of use: crashes, log-in errors and a dated app
This is where most of the complaints sit. Reviewers from 2024 to 2026 describe the app closing when they try to sign, log-in errors, and an app one 2026 reviewer calls unstable. A Capterra reviewer finds signing quick but error messages unhelpful. Positive reviewers call it convenient and simpler than the web version.
“Sometimes the error handling is not very accurate and it does not provide enough information”
The cons in a 4-star review. In the pros: "It is a really quick and easy way to sign documents digitally, especially through your phone." Signicat replied and pointed to its support email.
“Keeps crashing and crashing , could not finished verification process gave me htp500 error , even for login I had to open a new account , tried so many different ways. Not sure how the developers can not see so many bugs”
A 1-star review.
“Keeps crashing..”
A 1-star review.
“Very poor. Whenever I try to sign a document, the app closes. The web-based version isn't any better. I would definitely not recommend until basic bugs have been sorted out.”
A 1-star review.
“App is crashing when trying to sign a document.”
“1 time can sign, 10 times not.”
“Same time, when all other apps work and I write current review, Dokobit says "Internet connection appears to be offline".”
“Can't log in due to SSL error”
“Can't sign up in the US...”
A 1-star review, quoted in full.
“... On iPhone and iPad after upgrading.”
A 2-star review titled "Doesn’t work...", quoted in full.
“Håpløst dårlig, gammeldags og ustabilt”
Original, in Norwegian. A 1-star review.
“Piinlikult kohutava kasutajasõbralikkusega äpp.”
Original, in Estonian. A 1-star review titled "Prügi".
“Programėlė sukurta nesilaikant W3c standartų ir nuo pat pirmo lango yra visiškai nepritaikyta darbui su ekrano skaitymo programomis, pvz, Talkback. Programeriai turėtų susipažinti kaip reikia kurti accessible aplikacijas ir atnaujinti programėlę, kad visi galėtų ja pilnavertiškai naudotis.”
Original, in Lithuanian. A 1-star review about screen readers.
“UI much more improved, thank you! now usable on mobile v without hassle.”
“Labai gerai kad dokobit susigalvojo programėlę. Papraščiau naudoti negu web.”
Original, in Lithuanian. Titled "Labai gerai".
“Super convenient when you need to sign something and don’t have a laptop nearby. Literally just a couple steps and you’re done.”
Signer experience: eIDs that fail in one place and work in another
Signers describe Smart-ID that works on the web but not in the app, ID cards the extension cannot use on a Mac, form fields that show empty, and a signed file without its signature. Two G2 reviewers want better signatures. Positive reviewers describe signing with Smart-ID or a biometric log-in as smooth and simple.
“Signing doesn't look real-like we do with the pen. Could be better...”
The dislikes in a 5-star review titled "Amazing software". G2 marks it incentivized.
“Quality of signature should be improved...”
The dislikes in a 4.5-star review titled "Excellent authentication". In the likes: "It is very useful in authentication and we can trust to handle our data safely." G2 marks it incentivized.
“I was sent to sign a PDF document with fillable fields, but the app showed them empty. I wasn't able to verify the contents of the document before signing. Defeats the purpose of the app.”
A 2-star review.
“Could not read all pages of the document”
A 4-star review, quoted in full.
“App versijoje pasirašyti smart id neįmanoma, o web versijoje įmanoma. Kodėl?”
Original, in Lithuanian. A 1-star review titled "Neveikia funkcijos".
“This type of an app, should not have a block for opening without an app! If I sign and send the document to authorities, you cannot force them to "download and use" your app! This tupe of an app should free and open!”
A 4-star review.
“Signed document doesn't have signature. Only after 5th time of signed document download it apeared. Not stable application”
“ID card signing doesn't work on macOS (neither Intel, nor Apple Silicon Macs), gets stuck at loading "Prašome palaukti"”
"Prašome palaukti" is Lithuanian for "Please wait" (our translation).
“ID card does not work with this extention. It does not launch when you use the id card. However works with other signing methods”
“My attempt to sign did not work. Then I installed a VPN and it worked fine.”
“Great app, but SmartID does not work - gives network error every time I have tried to use it- more than dozen times on different networks, so I suppose there is a problem in SmartID implementation.”
A 2-star review titled "SmartID integration doesn’t work".
“Doesn't work, says that token hasn't been found, but I've downloaded and installed it. When I try to register on the website, it doesn't provide necessary steps and I keep getting to the same page, downloading the same package and it still doesn't work. Very poor user experience.”
“Excellent app! The signing process was smooth, fast, and very intuitive. I was able to sign my document securely with Smart-ID without any difficulties...”
“I’m very happy to use this product. Before my clients printed that paper version of the contract, signed and sent it to me to sign. It was time-consuming.”
Titled "I don't need paper printing anymore".
“Puiki aplikacija, labai patinka prisijungimas su biometrika. Realiai gaunu notificationa, paspaudziu ant jo, su biometrika prisijungiu ir iskarto matau ir galiu pasirasinet dokumenta, labai patogu, paprasta ir lengva!”
Original, in Lithuanian. Titled "Puikiai".
Features, the API and MCP
The feature complaints are about the mobile app: no way to put two documents in one signing container, a missing invitation language option, saving to Google Drive and previews that broke after updates, and downloads that failed. On G2, one founder finds the C# and DotNet programming intimidating for anyone not familiar with them.
“There isn't anything lacking. However, the programming can seem pretty intimidating if you arent familiar with c# and DotNet. The learning curve isnt too bad...”
The dislikes in a 4-star review titled "It works and is useful as advertised." In the likes: "It is useful as an authentication app. You can trust it to handle electronic signitures, and account authorizations, and data." G2 marks it incentivized.
“1) Trustworthy and efficient electronic signatures”
The first of five likes in a 4.5-star review titled "Integrated identity verification software"; another is "5) Allows users to sign multiple docs frequently." G2 marks it incentivized.
“cannot add 2 documents to 1 container to sign. why??”
“invite language option missing when adding a signing participant from a mobile app.”
“Wont let me download signed documents”
“After last update there is error with sharing to Drive. Pleaee check ASAP, why cant save to Google Drive? (Error: request contained no data).”
“It appears that after last update it is not possible to view the document at all (preview option in app gives error and on the web the preview is nowhere to be found)”
“Meget enkelt og trygt. Eneste jeg lurer på er at jeg etter flrste innloggingssekvens fikk mld. om tidsavbrudd. Dette selvom jeg var lynrask. Gjorde alt på nytt og dok. ble bekreftet signert. Meget bra.”
Original, in Norwegian. A 5-star review.
“Great way to sign documents electronically. Fast and easy!”
“Very useful application and easy to use, I can sign my documents while travelling.”
Titled "Amazing application".
Beyond Dakota F.'s note on C# and DotNet, and the Capterra reviewer's mention that you can integrate Signicat into other apps through SDKs, I found no user reviews about Signicat's Sign API, Dokobit's API, AI tools or MCP.
What Signicat is, and which Signicat product signs documents
Signicat was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Trondheim, Norway, per its August 30, 2021 press release announcing that it had bought Dokobit, a Lithuanian signing company. Its main business is digital identity: logging people in and verifying them with 35 European eIDs, ID documents and biometric checks.
Under Electronic Signing, its menu lists two signing products next to Digital Evidence Management, and a third signing page with its own prices is still live:
- Electronic Signature Portal (Dokobit): the web portal and phone apps this review is mostly about, with public prices and a free plan. Dokobit also offers a Chrome extension for signing with ID cards.
- Electronic Signature API: for developers. It offers simple signatures (SMS or email codes, or a drawn "InkSign" scribble), advanced signatures with eIDs or Signicat's own video-verified SignatureID, and qualified signatures. Prices are on request.
- Signicat Sign Portal: a separate portal for Nordic eIDs, from €69 a month. It is not in Signicat's menu, so I cover it only briefly, in the pricing section.
What each Dokobit plan includes
Here is what the Dokobit pricing page lists for each plan on its Baltic price list, checked October 9, 2026:
| Feature | Free | Professional | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free signatures a month, per user | 3 | 20 | 30 | None |
| Document storage | 100 MB | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Inviting others to sign | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Accountless signing | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Signing via video identification | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Deadlines and reminders | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |

| SMS invitations and reminders | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Branded experience, phone support | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Single sign-on, cloud e-sealing | No | No | No | Yes |
Under "Other countries" the features are the same, but Professional and Business include no free signatures. Dokobit describes Free as "For individuals who occasionally e-sign personal documents" and Professional as "For individuals who e-sign documents regularly or frequently."
What Signicat does well
Signicat's strengths are real, and they count most for European businesses whose signers have an eID.
- Every signature level, one vendor. Dokobit offers qualified, advanced and simple signatures, and its price list covers eIDs from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Baltics, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland.
- A free plan. Free costs €0 "free forever" for 3 signatures a month.
- Video-verified signers anywhere. SignicatID gives a qualified signature after an online video check, in every country on the price list.
- Published prices. Dokobit's plans and per-country signature prices are public; the signature price list is valid until December 31, 2026.
- Security paperwork. Signicat says it is a qualified trust service provider. Its Security and Compliance page lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and 27018:2019, and SOC 2 reports "type 1 for 2018" and "type 2 for 2019" for selected customers. Dokobit's compliance page says "all our data shall be processed within the EU/EEA." Neither page mentions HIPAA.
- Happy app users. The Dokobit app scores 4.9 on the Lithuanian App Store and 4.7 on Google Play.
Signicat pricing in 2026 (checked October 2026)
The Dokobit pricing page opens on its "Baltics" prices and has a "Show pricing for" menu with 14 other options, from Norway and the United Kingdom to "Other countries".
The list has no US entry, so "Other countries" is the option a US buyer would pick. One Google Play reviewer wrote in July 2025 that they could not sign up in the US, so confirm you can open an account before you count on the "Other countries" prices.
Prices are per user, before VAT, and "valid for Dokobit portal only." Here is the Baltic list on October 9, 2026:
| Plan | Paid monthly | Paid yearly, per month | Free signatures a month | Then, per signature |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | €0 | 3 | Not offered |
| Professional | €10 per user | €8 per user | 20 | Qualified €0.44, simple €0.55, seal €0.33 |
| Business | €22 per user | €17.60 per user | 30 | Qualified €0.33, simple €0.55, seal €0.33, SMS €0.22 |
| Enterprise | €25 per user, through sales | €25 per user | None, pay as you go | As Business |
And here is the "Other countries" list on the same day:
| Plan | Paid monthly | Paid yearly, per month | Free signatures a month | Then, per signature |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | €0 | 3 | Not offered |
| Professional | €14 per user | €11.20 per user | None, pay as you go | Simple €0.55, seal €0.33 |
| Business | €31 per user | €24.80 per user | None, pay as you go | Simple €0.55, seal €0.33, SMS €0.22 |
| Enterprise | €38 per user | €38 per user | None, pay as you go | As Business |
A qualified signature by SignicatID video check is priced on the signature price list below. The page says paying yearly saves "up to 20%".
The United Kingdom option lists Professional at £12 a user a month (£9.60 paid yearly) with no free signatures. The Norwegian pricing page lists different plans in kroner: Profesjonell at 135 kr a user a month with 10 free signatures, and Forretning at 357 kr with 15. So the price and the free allowance depend on your region.
How Dokobit counts signatures
This is the part most buyers miss. Dokobit's pricing FAQ says: "A signature refers to one person’s signature. If a document is signed by two people, it counts as two signatures." And: "The document owner covers the cost of all collected signatures. If three people sign, three signatures are used."
Who pays when three people sign one Dokobit document
- 1Step 1You upload one documentYou are the document owner and invite two signers
- 2Step 2You signSignature 1, counted on your account
- 3Step 3Your client signsSignature 2, also counted on your account
- 4Step 4A second signer signsSignature 3: one document has used three signatures
Each signature is priced by the signer's country and eID, from Dokobit's signature price list (dated February 13, 2026, valid until December 31, 2026, before VAT):
| Signer | How they sign | Professional | Business or Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Any country, first time | SignicatID video check, qualified | €5.28 | €5.28 |
| Any country, existing SignicatID user | SignicatID, qualified | €1.98 | €1.98 |
| US and other countries not listed ("Other") | SMS code, simple | €0.55 | €0.55 |
| United Kingdom | SMS code, simple | £0.50 | £0.50 |
| Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland | Smart-ID, ID cards, Certum cards and more, qualified | €0.44 | €0.33 |
| Norway | BankID, qualified | 11 NOK | 11 NOK |
| Sweden | BankID, advanced | 8.80 SEK | 8.80 SEK |
| Denmark | MitID, advanced | 6.60 DKK | 6.60 DKK |
| Belgium | itsme, Smart-ID or ID card, qualified | €1.98 | €1.98 |
The price list's own example: a Lithuanian Business user who invites a Belgian signer pays €2.31 for the document (€0.33 plus €1.98). Add a Norwegian signer with BankID, and 11 NOK more is charged, converted to euros at the previous day's rate.
Signicat's other prices
- Signicat Sign Portal: Basic "From 69 €/month + from 0,30 per signature" for up to 3 users; Advanced from €235 a month with 10 users; Premium on quote. Per signature, InkSign, SMS signatures and secure share are €0.30 and eID signatures €0.60. The page has no VAT note.
- Sign API: Signicat's pricing page says "Our pricing is based on a combination of setup, subscription and transaction fees", with detailed prices inside its dashboard after you create a free account.

Where Signicat falls short
The weak points are in how Dokobit charges and how its apps behave. Each one below comes from Signicat's and Dokobit's own pages, checked October 9, 2026, or from the reviews quoted above.
- Every signer is billed. Two signers use two signatures, and the owner pays for all of them, so the free allowance runs out twice as fast when you sign too.
- Prices depend on your region. On the Baltic list Professional is €10 with 20 free signatures; under "Other countries", which covers a US buyer, it is €14 with none, and Norway's page shows its own prices in kroner with 10 free signatures on Professional.
- Outside eID countries, an SMS code or a paid video check. A US signer signs with an SMS code at €0.55, or with a €5.28 video check for a qualified signature.
- The free plan is thin. 3 signatures a month, a limited audit trail and no accountless signing, reminders or templates.
- App and extension problems. Reviewers report crashes, log-in errors, Smart-ID failing in the app and ID cards failing in the Chrome extension, which scores 3.0.
- No partial refunds. Dokobit's terms say subscriptions renew automatically and "you are not entitled to any partial refunds or credits."
- No MCP server for signing, and the API is quote-only. The only Signicat MCP server I found searches its developer documentation.
What a year of Dokobit costs at 5, 10 and 25 documents a month
For one sender, Dokobit Professional is the plan that fits: Free stops at 3 signatures a month and has no accountless signing. The table uses the "Other countries" prices a US buyer would see: €14 a month, or €11.20 a month paid yearly, with no free signatures, and €0.55 for every SMS-code signature.
Because Dokobit bills per signer, the table shows two cases: only your client signs, or you and your client both sign.
| Volume, one sender | Signatures a month | Year total, paid yearly (€11.20 a month) | Year total, paid monthly (€14 a month) | Signature fees in the year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 a month, client signs | 5 | €167.40 | €201 | 60 at €0.55, €33 |
| 5 a month, both sign | 10 | €200.40 | €234 | 120 at €0.55, €66 |
| 10 a month, client signs | 10 | €200.40 | €234 | 120 at €0.55, €66 |
| 10 a month, both sign | 20 | €266.40 | €300 | 240 at €0.55, €132 |
| 25 a month, client signs | 25 | €299.40 | €333 | 300 at €0.55, €165 |
| 25 a month, both sign | 50 | €464.40 | €498 | 600 at €0.55, €330 |
All prices are before VAT. A signer verified by video costs €5.28 the first time.
On the Baltic price list, Professional is €8 a month paid yearly with 20 free signatures, which the pricing page says cover Baltic eID and SMS-code signatures, so a year there costs €96 at 5 or 10 a month and €129 at 25 a month with one signer.
Over 3 years, paid yearly at the "Other countries" price, Professional comes to €502.20 at 5 a month, €601.20 at 10 a month and €898.20 at 25 a month with one signer.
Which Signicat plan fits you
Match the plan to who signs and how, not only to your volume.
| You are | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Someone who signs up to 3 times a month with a Baltic eID or an SMS code | Dokobit Free | 3 free signatures a month at €0 |
| One person sending documents to clients | Dokobit Professional, from €8 a month, depending on region | Accountless signing, reminders, templates |
| A team that needs approvals, workflows or SMS invitations | Dokobit Business, from €17.60 a user a month, depending on region | Workflows, approvals, SMS, branding, phone support |
| A Nordic business signing with BankID, MitID or FTN | Dokobit, or Signicat Sign Portal from €69 a month | Both cover Nordic eIDs; compare per-signature prices |
| A developer building signing into an app | Signicat Sign API, through sales | Setup, subscription and transaction fees on request |
| Someone whose clients just need to sign a PDF in the US | Probably not Signicat | €14 a month with no free signatures, plus €0.55 per SMS-code signer; see the last section |
Prices are before VAT, checked October 9, 2026.
How I reviewed Signicat
Through running a freelancing agency and then a consulting agency, and working around a lot of freelancers, consultants and the people we serve, my team and I have gathered information about Signicat. For this review I also read Signicat's own pages and what its users wrote from 2016 to 2026, and checked everything again on October 9, 2026:
- Vendor pages: the Dokobit pricing page (Baltic, Other countries, United Kingdom and Norwegian versions), the Dokobit signature price list, Dokobit's terms of service and compliance page, and Signicat's pricing, Sign Portal, Electronic Signature API, Security and Compliance and docs MCP pages, plus its 2021 Dokobit press release.
- App stores: Dokobit app reviews on the App Store in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Norway, the UK and the US, Dokobit reviews on Google Play, and the Dokobit extension on the Chrome Web Store.
- Review sites and forums: all 8 Signicat reviews on G2 (2022 to 2026) and the 1 on Capterra (2023), which cover Signicat as a whole company; I left out one G2 review that is only about email authentication. Trustpilot has no reviews for signicat.com or dokobit.com. The one recent Reddit thread about Signicat asks about eID integration, not signing.
- Exchange rate: the European Central Bank reference rate for October 8, 2026, $1.1186 per euro.
Who should skip Signicat, and what to use instead
Keep Signicat if:
- your signers sign with Nordic or Baltic eIDs, or you need qualified signatures or video-verified signers
- you need a vendor with qualified trust service provider status, ISO 27001 or EU data processing
If your business needs qualified signatures or bank ID signing, go with Signicat; if you just need your business documents signed without paying extra for that, use SignWith.
Skip Signicat if you are one or two people who want your clients to sign a PDF a few times a month, unevenly, without a monthly seat and a fee for each signer. That is who we built SignWith for.
SignWith has no seats and no subscription. You buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed. Every signed document uses one of your free monthly documents or a credit, including one that only you sign, and a declined, voided or expired document uses none.
- Upload a PDF, JPEG or PNG, add signature, date, text and checkbox fields, and set the signing order.
- Your recipients sign in the browser on any device, with no account.
- Every completed document comes with a Certificate of Completion that records timestamps, IP addresses, device and browser details and email events, sealed with a SHA-256 hash.

A buyer on Dokobit's Baltic price list pays less: €129 (about $144) for a year at 25 a month with one signer, about $5 under the Lifetime Deal. Over 3 years under "Other countries", Dokobit comes to €898.20 (about $1,005) at 25 a month with one signer, against the Lifetime Deal at $149 one-time.
Signicat's Sign API is priced on request with setup, subscription and transaction fees, and Dokobit's API bills per signature like the portal. Signicat has no MCP server for sending or signing documents; the only Signicat MCP server I found lets AI tools search its developer documentation. SignWith takes a different route:
- An API and an MCP server on every account. SignWith has a REST API and an MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code, so your own code or your assistant can send documents for signature.
- The same credits as the app. No subscription, no developer plan, 3 free documents a month, then you buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed.
- The same fit. The API doesn't change who SignWith suits: a business that needs qualified signatures, bank ID signing or identity checks should still pick Signicat.
SignWith templates, reminders, bulk send and team accounts are coming soon, so if you need templates or reminders today, Dokobit Professional is the better buy. SignWith is used by 1,000+ businesses, and you can start free with no card.
No subscription. You buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed. One credit covers one signed document, however many people sign it.

Frequently asked questions
Is Signicat free?
- Its Dokobit portal has a Free plan at €0 for 3 signatures a month, with a limited audit trail and no accountless signing. Professional is €10 a user a month paid monthly, or €8 paid yearly, before VAT, with 20 free signatures a month on its Baltic price list; under "Other countries", which covers the US, it is €14, or €11.20 paid yearly, with no free signatures (checked October 9, 2026).
Does Signicat publish its prices?
- For signing, yes. Dokobit publishes its plans and a per-country signature price list, and the Signicat Sign Portal page shows prices from €69 a month. Signicat's Sign API and identity products are priced on request, with setup, subscription and transaction fees.
Is Dokobit the same as Signicat?
- Dokobit is Signicat's signing portal. Signicat bought Dokobit, a Lithuanian signing company, in August 2021, and its menu now lists the "Electronic Signature Portal (Dokobit)" next to its Electronic Signature API.
Who pays when several people sign a Dokobit document?
- The document owner. Dokobit's FAQ says each person's signature counts separately, so a document signed by three people uses three signatures, all charged to the owner's account.
Can signers in the US use Signicat?
- Yes, with a simple SMS-code signature priced at €0.55 on Dokobit's list for countries it does not name, or with a SignicatID video check for a qualified signature at €5.28 the first time. Bank IDs and national ID cards work only for signers from the countries that issue them.
Does Signicat have an API or an MCP server?
- Signicat has an Electronic Signature API, priced on request, and Dokobit has its own APIs billed per signature. Signicat has no MCP server for sending or signing documents; the only Signicat MCP server I found searches its developer documentation (checked October 9, 2026).
E-signature rules vary by country, state and document type, so check with a legal professional that an e-signature suits your specific agreement before you rely on it.
