Header image for Yousign (now Youtrust) Review 2026: Pricing, Features & Honest Verdict

Yousign is still easy to sign with, and since July 2026 it has a new name: Youtrust. Prices start at $8 a month on a yearly plan, or $13 billed monthly (checked October 2026). What catches people out is the contract: cancel a monthly plan less than 15 days before it renews and you pay for another month.

My Yousign review in one line: a simple, European signing tool that is good value for small teams who need Qualified signatures, and a poor fit for anyone who signs now and then and hates watching renewal dates.

Yousign review verdict: who it's for and who should skip it

Yousign is worth paying for when your business works in Europe and needs signatures at more than one legal level, or when a small team wants templates, SMS codes and approvals at a fair seat price. It is poor value when you sign rarely, because plans renew on their own and the notice window is easy to miss.

Best for: small European teams sending contracts every week; businesses that need a Qualified signature for some documents and a Simple one for the rest; HubSpot and Zapier users on Plus.

Skip if: you sign a handful of documents a month, your volume swings, you want to cancel the day you stop needing it, or you need a one-off Qualified signature without a subscription.

Here is how users rate Yousign on review sites, checked October 2026.

Yousign is now Youtrust: what changed in 2026

Yousign announced that "Starting in July, Yousign is becoming Youtrust", and the website moved to the new name in mid-July 2026. The company says the new name marks a move from a signature tool to "a comprehensive digital trust platform" with three parts: Sign, Verify (identity, document and bank account checks) and Seal (electronic seals).

People still search for Yousign, and the product is the same one, so this review uses both names.

What users say about Yousign in 2026

Yousign's reviews split by language and length. The long, specific reviews written in English in 2026 are mostly negative, about billing, Qualified signature costs and bugs. The 2026 positives are short and mostly in French, Spanish or German. Every quote not written in English is shown in the original with my English translation.

Trustpilot shows 3.9 out of 5 from 1,183 reviews, with 418 in the last 12 months, and this star mix (checked October 2026):

Below, the complaints are grouped by theme and given in full, with a few positives. Every quote is from 2026, copied as written, and linked to where it was posted.

Pricing and billing: the cancellation notice

Most 2026 one-star reviews in English are about money: the notice period, renewals charged for unused seats, and the cost of Qualified signatures.

“All in all cancellation process unclear, and misleading UI and process, it looks like you can cancel anytime, you cancel and get a confirmation message. In reality ou need to do it 15 days prior but you don't know that unless you read the T&C so you get charged even if you cancel.”

Signer experience: smooth for most, stuck for a few

Three 2026 reviewers say signing is easy for their recipients or signers, and one adds that this holds for recipients of almost any age. The negatives are specific: a browser that failed, a foreign passport, error screens during signing, limited signer options and a signing page that one signer says was not clearly translated into German.

Features, the API and the AI connector

Reminders, tracking and a signature accepted for a public tender get the feature praise. The complaints are about bulk signing, the Google connection, and a paid signature that one reviewer says the French administration refused.

Two 2026 reviews mention the API: one is about what the plan included, the other is from a team that moved its API needs to Documenso for cost and flexibility.

“I had previously tested the API in their Sandbox environment and then subscribed, believing that the plan I purchased would allow me to use the same functionality in production. Only afterwards did I discover that this was not the case and that the plan I had purchased did not include the production API I actually needed.”
ComplaintYouNeedToKnowTrustpilotOct 2026
“Au-delà de cet épisode, nous avons finalement opté pour une solution alternative bien plus flexible et économique, en particulier pour nos besoins liés à l’API : Documenso, une solution open source, s’est révélée mieux adaptée à nos attentes, tant en termes de coûts que de souplesse d’intégration.”

I found no 2026 user reviews about Youtrust's AI connector on Trustpilot, G2 or Software Advice, so there is no user verdict on it yet. Reddit threads that mention Yousign could not be opened on October 6, 2026 to confirm their dates, so no Reddit posts are quoted.

What Yousign is and its key features

Yousign (now Youtrust) is a French e-signature service sold by subscription. You upload a document, place fields, add signers and send it as a signature request. A signature request is "the whole operation of preparing and sending one or more documents to be signed electronically by one or more signers at once", per the pricing FAQ.

Yousign's three signature levels, in plain words

Youtrust sells three levels of electronic signature, and the level decides what you pay:

  • Simple eSignature: the everyday level, for most contracts. The request limits on each plan count Simple signatures.
  • Advanced eSignature: adds checks that identify the signer, which Youtrust says reinforces "the legal value of your signatures". It is an extra-cost add-on on Plus and Pro, yearly billing only, and its price is not published.
  • Qualified eSignature: the highest level, where the signer's identity is verified before signing. It costs €10 per signature in bundles of 10 or more with a yearly plan, or €15 each (1 to 9) with a monthly plan, on Plus and Pro.

Youtrust says it is included in the European Commission's list of qualified trust service providers. For the difference between these terms, see digital signature vs electronic signature. Youtrust's legal pages are written for Europe; I found no Youtrust statement about US or Australian law.

Here is what each plan includes, per the plan comparison on the pricing page, checked October 5, 2026:

What Yousign does well

Yousign's strengths are real, and they count most for European teams.

  • Easy for senders and signers. Ease of use scores 4.2 on Software Advice, and the 2026 five-star reviews keep coming back to simplicity.
  • Reminders on every plan. Automatic reminders are included even on Free, and One adds a template and a custom logo.
  • All three signature levels in one account. You can send everyday contracts as Simple signatures and buy Qualified ones only for the documents that need them.
  • A big request. One request can hold up to 50 documents, so One's 10 requests a month can carry far more than 10 files.
  • An AI connector on every plan. Youtrust's AI connector, built on MCP, works with Claude, ChatGPT and Vibe by Mistral. It sends a request from a template already in your account, lists pending requests and checks who has signed.

Yousign pricing in 2026 (checked October 2026)

The Youtrust pricing page has a currency selector for euros, US dollars and pounds. Here are the US dollar prices I read with the selector set to USD on October 5, 2026, before tax:

PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthlyYearly totalSignature requests
Free$0$0$02 a month
One$8 a month$13 a month$9610 a month
Plus$23 per user a month$35 per user a month$276 per userNo cap
Pro$38 per user a month$55 per user a month$456 per userNo cap

And the euro prices, from the same page, before VAT:

PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthlyYearly total
One€9 a month€11 a month€108
Plus€23 per user a month€30 per user a month€276 per user
Pro€38 per user a month€48 per user a month€456 per user

Yearly billing is paid upfront and commits you for 12 months; monthly billing commits month to month. In USD the yearly discount is bigger than the banner's "2 months free": a year of Plus costs $276 on yearly billing against $420 at the monthly price. More than 10 users means a custom quote from sales.

Add-ons cost extra and are priced in euros even when the page shows dollars:

  • Qualified eSignature: "From €10/QES". €10 each in bundles of 10 or more with a yearly plan, €15 each (1 to 9) with a monthly plan.
  • Advanced eSignature: extra cost, yearly billing only, price not published.
  • Automated Forms: from €10 a month on One and Plus.
  • Single sign-on, SCIM and 10-year electronic archiving: extra cost on Pro, yearly only.

The API is sold separately, on yearly plans only: API Plus from €104 a month (€1,248 billed yearly) and API Pro from €129 a month (€1,548), each with 500 Simple signatures a year, and each signature above the quota is billed at €2.00. A free sandbox lets you test first.

Where Yousign falls short

The weak points sit in the contract around the product. Each one below comes from Youtrust's own pages, checked October 5, 2026.

  1. Cancelling takes notice. The help center says a cancellation "must be made at least" 15 days before the end of a monthly period and 30 days before the end of an annual or multi-year one. The terms add 3 months for a 2-year plan and 6 months for 3 years or more.
  2. No pro rata refunds. The terms say "any period that has already begun will remain payable" and "No pro rata reimbursement may be requested on the grounds of termination of the Contract for any reason whatsoever."
  3. Plans renew on their own. Monthly plans renew each month and yearly plans each year, per the terms.
  4. Qualified signatures are never included. Each one costs €10 or €15 on top of a Plus or Pro seat, and there is no pay-per-signature option without a plan. On the euro prices, one month of Plus at €30 plus one Qualified signature at €15 comes to €45 before VAT.
  5. Late payment is costly. The terms add interest at three times the French statutory rate per month of delay and "a fixed sum of forty (40) euros".
  6. Support is email only on every paid self-serve plan.

How to cancel Yousign without paying another period

Only the account owner can cancel. Per Youtrust's help center, checked October 5, 2026:

  1. Open the Subscription page in the app and click Cancel subscription.
  2. Check the recap page, which shows the effective date of your cancellation.
  3. Fill in the exit survey and click confirm cancelation.
  4. Do all of this at least 15 days before a monthly period ends, or 30 days before a yearly one.

The same flow offers a switch to the Free plan, with the same notice rules. If you can't cancel in the app, the help article gives an email address for cancellation requests.

What a year of Yousign costs at 5, 10 and 25 documents a month

For one sender, a year of Yousign costs $96 at 5 or 10 documents a month and $276 at 25, on the cheapest plan that fits and yearly billing. The table counts one document as one signature request, with USD prices checked October 2026 on the Youtrust pricing page, before tax:

Volume, one senderCheapest plan that fits1 year, billed yearly1 year, billed monthly3 years, billed yearly
5 a month (60 a year)One, 10 requests a month$96$156$288
10 a month (120 a year)One, exactly at its cap$96$156$288
25 a month (300 a year)Plus, no request cap$276$420$828

At full use, One works out to $0.80 a request on yearly billing. Plus at 25 a month comes to $0.92 a document. If your documents go out in packets, one request can carry up to 50 of them, so One stretches further than this table shows.

Qualified signatures are not in these totals. If some of your documents need one, add €10 to €15 each. For how these numbers sit in the market, see what e-signature software actually costs.

How I reviewed Yousign

I and my team have used Yousign. For this review I also read Yousign's own pages and what its users wrote in 2026, and checked everything again on October 5, 2026:

  • Vendor pages: the application pricing page in EUR and USD, the API pricing page, the cancellation help article, the terms of use (updated July 2, 2026), the AI connector page, the rename announcement, and the legal and security pages.
  • Review platforms: Trustpilot reviews dated January to October 2026, a G2 review dated February 2026, and the Trustpilot, G2 and Software Advice rating pages. Capterra's own page would not load, so its 24 reviews were read on Software Advice. I found no Yousign or Youtrust app on the App Store or Google Play, so there are no store reviews.
  • Forums: Reddit threads that mention Yousign could not be opened on October 6, 2026 to confirm their dates, so no Reddit posts are quoted.

Who should skip Yousign, and what to use instead

Keep Yousign if:

  • you want a European company behind your signatures: it was founded in France in 2013, and it is one of the nicer European signing tools
  • your business needs the Qualified or Advanced signatures Youtrust sells, or a team workflow with approvals, SMS codes and HubSpot

If your business needs Qualified signatures, go with Youtrust; if you just need your business documents signed without paying extra for that, use SignWith.

Skip Yousign if you are one or two people who want a simple way to get a document signed, a few times a month and unevenly, with no subscription and no notice period to remember. That is who we built SignWith for.

SignWith has no seats and no subscription. You buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed. Every signed document uses one of your free monthly documents or a credit, including one that only you sign, and a declined, voided or expired document uses none.

  • Upload a PDF, JPEG or PNG, add signature, date, text and checkbox fields, and set the signing order.
  • Your recipients sign in the browser on any device, with no account.
  • Every completed document comes with a Certificate of Completion that records timestamps, IP addresses, device and browser details and email events, sealed with a SHA-256 hash.

Assumes 10 signed documents a month for 12 months (120 documents), one sender, one document per signature request. Yousign One is $96 a year billed yearly or $13 a month billed monthly, with 10 requests a month.Source: Youtrust pricing, USD, SignWith pricing. Checked Oct 2026

Here is the same year at all three volumes. Yousign prices checked October 2026 on the Youtrust pricing page in USD; SignWith prices render from our pricing data, and the free monthly documents continue after you buy packs.

VolumeYousign, 1 year, billed yearlySignWith, 1 year
5 a month$96 (One)3 free a month cover 36 documents; one Pro pack covers the other 24 for $19
10 a month$96 (One)84 paid documents: one Business, one Pro and one Basic pack, $29 plus $19 plus $9
25 a month$276 (Plus)264 paid documents: the Lifetime Deal at $149 one-time, cheaper than buying packs

At today's prices that saves $77 (80%) at 5 a month, $39 (41%) at 10 and $127 (46%) at 25, in the first year, against Yousign's yearly billing. Over 3 years, Yousign comes to $288, $288 and $828 at those volumes, against the Lifetime Deal at $149 one-time, once.

Youtrust also has an AI connector built on MCP, on every plan, so the difference is the billing model, not the AI access. Its API is a separate yearly plan from €104 a month for 500 signatures a year, with €2.00 for each one over (checked October 2026). SignWith takes a different route:

  • An API and an MCP server on every account. SignWith has a REST API and an MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code, so your own code or your assistant can send documents for signature.
  • The same credits as the app. No subscription, no developer plan, 3 free documents a month, then you buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed.
  • The same fit. The API doesn't change who SignWith suits: a team that needs Qualified signatures should still pick Youtrust.

SignWith templates, reminders, bulk send, team accounts and integrations are coming soon, so if you need any of those today, Yousign is the better buy. SignWith is used by 1,000+ businesses, and you can start free with no card.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Yousign the same company as Youtrust?

Yes. Yousign announced that starting in July 2026 it is becoming Youtrust, and its website moved to the new name in mid-July 2026. The application moves over progressively by 2027. Youtrust says pricing, contracts and support stay the same for existing customers.

Is Yousign free?

There is a Free plan: unlimited signing of your own documents and 2 signature requests a month, each with up to 5 signers, for one user. Paid plans start with One at $8 a month billed yearly ($96) or $13 billed monthly, before tax (Youtrust pricing, checked October 2026).

How much does Yousign cost in US dollars?

With the currency selector set to USD in October 2026: One $8 a month billed yearly or $13 monthly, Plus $23 or $35 per user a month, and Pro $38 or $55 per user a month, before tax. Add-ons such as Qualified signatures are priced in euros.

How do I cancel Yousign?

The account owner cancels from the Subscription page in the app. The request must be made at least 15 days before the end of a monthly period, or 30 days before the end of an annual one. The terms say no pro rata refund is given. Source: Youtrust Help Center and terms of use, checked October 2026.

How much is a Qualified signature on Yousign?

From €10 each in bundles of 10 or more with a yearly plan, or €15 each (1 to 9) with a monthly plan. Qualified signatures are an add-on to Plus or Pro, so you pay for a seat too (Youtrust pricing, checked October 2026).

Does Yousign have an API or an MCP server?

Yes. The API is sold on yearly plans from €104 a month for 500 signatures a year, with €2.00 per extra signature, and a free sandbox. The AI connector, built on MCP, is included in all plans and works with Claude, ChatGPT and Vibe by Mistral (checked October 2026).

Does Yousign work in the US?

Yousign sells in US dollars and anyone can sign up, but Youtrust's legal pages describe validity in Europe and I found no Youtrust statement about US law. Check with a legal professional before relying on it for a US agreement.
