SignNow Review 2026: Pricing, Features & Honest Verdict
SignNow review: $8 a month and unlimited users, but only 100 invites a year before overage. Prices checked October 2026, what users say, and who should skip it.
SignNow's cheapest plan is $8 a month with unlimited users, and it looks like the best deal in e-signatures until you find the line that sets your real price: 100 signature invites a year. Many of SignNow's one-star reviews in 2026 are about that line.
This SignNow review gives the honest verdict first. SignNow is a good, cheap tool for a small team that sends under about 100 documents a year, and an expensive surprise for anyone above that.
I and my team have used SignNow, and for this review I checked its pricing page, help center and refund policy in October 2026 and sorted this year's user reviews by theme.

SignNow review verdict: who it suits and who should skip it
SignNow is a solid e-signature tool at a low entry price, held back by a usage cap that its headline price does not show.
Here is how users rate SignNow on review sites, checked October 2026.
- Best for: a team of two to five people sending finished contracts, NDAs and forms, under about 100 documents a year, who want templates, auto-reminders and mobile apps without paying per seat.
- Skip if: you send more than about 8 documents a month every month, you need a bill you can predict to the dollar, you need fast human support, or you need HIPAA without buying the Site License.
The rest of this page shows where each of those lines comes from.
What SignNow users say in 2026
SignNow users like the product and dislike the bill.
“SignNow is a simple to use, efficient, and cost-effective tool that I use to help run my short-term rental business. Creating and using templates for tenant's leases and documents has been easy and a time-saver.”
“It is also very user-friendly for our external partners, as there is no need to download an application. They can access the document directly and are clearly guided to the fields that require a signature or completion.”
“I am a mortgage broker and I have used SignNow for years now. Simple to use and priced very well.”
“While it works pretty well, the pricing is not excusable. We used this for years with no issues and now we only get 100 free invites per YEAR.”
“100 invites per year is ridiculous for any real business. That's not even 10 documents per month.”
“It works, and it's a good price, however some clients do not get their emails and it's often a constant juggle of "I didn't get it" and "search your spam box".”
Review snapshot checked Oct 2026.
I read SignNow's Trustpilot reviews from January to early October 2026, grouped them by theme, and kept only reviews dated 2026. Capterra showed no 2026-dated reviews when I checked, and G2 blocked my requests, so the quotes below come from Trustpilot.
Pricing and billing: the main complaint
Billing is where most 2026 one-star reviews land. The pattern is the same: a reviewer signs up for what looks like an unlimited plan, then meets the 100-invite cap as a charge. On the positive side, reviewers who stay under the cap call the price fair.
“It looks like unlimited use, and then all of a sudden you're charged a very big bill at $1.80 per signature after the first 100.”
“Now I just got charged an extra $56 in the first month on top of my $96 a year without ever telling me they changed the plans.”
“hidden at the bottom is a tiny usage cap of 100 documents which was not displayed anywhere and then a $1.80 charge per document.”
After paying.
“Signed up with included access for a second team member, and now on renewal, not only did the price go up, but I get no such access.”
“It is easy to use and inexpensive compared to other tools”
Support: AI first, humans when you push
Support complaints in 2026 are about reaching a person, mostly over billing and cancellations. Some reviewers had the opposite experience.
“If you want to go on an endless loop taking to AI in an attempt to resolve a very basic issue like billing for example, then enjoy.”
“were not helpful in canceling my subscription and I had to go use other ways to get it canceled.”
About two named agents.
“We chased multiple times for basic information and got nothing back.”
A buyer comparing tools, about the sales team.
“but I was able to request a human, and the person came on line very quickly.”
The AI bot could not answer one question.
“made it very easy to reverse the charge.”
Forgot to cancel before a renewal. About a support agent.
Ease of use: the strongest praise
Ease of use is the most common theme in SignNow's 2026 five-star reviews, often from people who moved from a bigger tool. The complaint side is small layout bugs.
“When placing the signature in the document, the date and time stamp cover the info below the signature line make it difficult to read.”
“I have used DocuSign before and like this better as it is simpler and easier to navigate.”
“Very easy to use! Can set up multiple templates.”
Signer experience: easy for most, hard for some
Most reviewers say their clients sign without trouble, and two problems repeat: emails that never arrive and forms that are hard to fill on a phone.
“Patients complain that forms are difficult to fill out, its hard to see, they don't know how to zoom in and type at the same time.”
“I hear from those who are cc-ed into the mail, don't receive that there has been an invitation.”
“Easy to use and wont require my clients to download the app to their phone.”
Features, the API and the MCP server
Feature praise centers on templates, tracking and signing links. Feature complaints are small, such as an invitation title that does not update when you swap the document (JASwan, above).
“you don't have to email the document directly from SignNow”
I found no 2026 user reviews about SignNow's API, its MCP server or its ChatGPT app on Trustpilot, Capterra or Reddit. Both AI features launched in March 2026, so the verdict on them is still out.
What is SignNow and what are its key features
SignNow (sold as airSlate SignNow) is an e-signature tool for documents you already have: you upload a file, place signature, date and text fields, and send it for signing. You are not buying a document builder or a PDF editor.
Its pricing page listed these features in October 2026, by the plan where each one starts:
| Plan | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Business (every plan) | Unlimited users, unlimited templates, unlimited storage, iOS and Android apps, auto-reminders, signing order, audit trail, in-person signing |
| Business Premium | Bulk send, signing links, payment collection, scheduled sending, team collaboration, team reports, kiosk mode |
| Enterprise | Custom branding, sending by SMS, advanced signer authentication (password, SMS or phone call), formula and conditional fields, approval workflows |
| Site License | Full API access, premium integrations (Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Procore and others), industry-specific compliance, SSO, user management, phone support |
Two AI features arrived in 2026. On March 18, SignNow launched an MCP server that works with Claude, Cursor, VS Code, n8n, Make and other MCP clients, and its announcement says access "is included with existing paid plans". On March 31, it launched a SignNow app inside ChatGPT.
What SignNow does well
SignNow's strengths are real, and for the right buyer they outweigh the cap.
- Unlimited users on every plan. The pricing page says "Free unlimited users with plans that scale", so a team of five shares one $96 a year Business plan instead of paying five seats (checked October 2026).
- A full feature set on the cheapest plan. Unlimited templates, auto-reminders, signing order and mobile apps are all on Business.
- Easy for senders and signers. Ease of use is the most common theme in its 2026 five-star reviews, and signers do not need to install anything.
- Cheap extra invites on Business. At $0.96 per extra invite, a Business plan stays cheaper per document than the Site License's $1.50 per invite (SignNow Help Center, checked October 2026).
- AI access for paying customers. The MCP server, included with paid plans, and the ChatGPT app let an assistant prepare and send documents from your SignNow account.
SignNow pricing in 2026
SignNow sells four plans, and every one includes unlimited users. Here is what the SignNow pricing page listed, checked October 2026:
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Invites included | Extra invite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business | $8 a month ($96 a year) | $20 a month | 100 a year per user (10 a month on monthly) | $0.96 |
| Business Premium | $15 a month ($180 a year) | $30 a month | 100 a year per user (10 a month on monthly) | $1.80 |
| Enterprise | $30 a month ($360 a year) | $50 a month | 100 a year per user (10 a month on monthly) | $3.60 |
| Site License | From $1.50 per signature invite | Not listed | Pay per invite, with volume discounts | Not listed |
Extra-invite prices and allowances come from SignNow's help center article on invite limits, checked October 2026. The pricing page also offers a 7-day free trial on every plan and a "30-day money-back guarantee". For developers, SignNow's API trial includes 250 free signature invites.
What counts as a SignNow invite
The invite is SignNow's billing unit, and the help center defines it in detail. One invite or signing link counts once, however many recipients or documents it holds. These rules decide your real usage (checked October 2026):
| Counts as an invite | Does not count |
|---|---|
| An email invite, as soon as it is sent, even if never signed | Reminders, resending and forwarding |
| A cancelled invite (cancel and resend counts as two) | Replacing a signer or emailing a copy |
| A signing link, once someone completes it | Signing a document yourself |
| Kiosk mode signing | |
| Opening a template in the mobile app and tapping Sign Template |
The pricing page FAQ adds that an invite is still used when a recipient declines or cancels. Unused invites "do not roll over into the next year", and free extra users share the account's pool.

- Per extra invite: Business $0.96, Business Premium $1.80, Enterprise $3.60
- SignNow Help Center
- 100

- SignNow refund policy
Where SignNow falls short
SignNow's weak spots are billing and support, and each one is documented on its own pages.
- The cap is easy to miss. The plan cards say "Get 100 invites per year" next to "Free unlimited users", and the per-invite fees sit in the help center. Users in 2026 describe finding them on their first bill.
- You pay for sends, not signatures. An email invite counts when it is sent, even if nobody signs, and cancelling does not return it.
- Overage charges are automatic. Extra invites are billed when you finish a block, or at month-end once 10 or more are unpaid. If a charge fails, "the Invite to Sign function will be temporarily blocked until the issue is resolved."
- Refunds are narrow. The refund policy, dated March 3, 2026, allows requests within 30 days of your first payment, may decline them after significant use, and says usage-based fees "are strictly non-refundable".
- Trials and renewals bill themselves. The same policy says a trial with a card entered "will automatically renew at the end of the free trial period unless you cancel before the trial expires."
- Support leans on an AI bot. Several 2026 reviewers describe loops with the bot over billing and cancellation before reaching a person.
Is SignNow secure and compliant
SignNow publishes a broad set of certifications. Its security page lists SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, PCI DSS, GDPR and CCPA, checked October 2026, while its pricing page lists "Industry-specific compliance" covering HIPAA and 21 CFR Part 11 on the Site License.
If your business needs HIPAA, confirm with SignNow sales in writing which plan covers it before you buy.
What a year of SignNow costs at 5, 10 and 25 documents a month
At low volume SignNow is cheap, and past 100 documents a year the overage sets the price. The table assumes one document is one invite and nothing is cancelled or resent, at the prices on the SignNow pricing page, checked October 2026, before tax:
| Volume | Business, annual | Business, monthly billing | Business Premium, annual | Business, annual, 3 years |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 a month (60 a year) | $96 (60 of 100 invites) | $240 (5 of 10 invites a month) | $180 | $288 |
| 10 a month (120 a year) | $115.20 ($96 plus 20 extra at $0.96) | $240 (10 of 10 invites a month) | $216 ($180 plus 20 extra at $1.80) | $345.60 |
| 25 a month (300 a year) | $288 ($96 plus 200 extra at $0.96) | $412.80 ($240 plus 180 extra at $0.96) | $540 ($180 plus 200 extra at $1.80) | $864 |
Per document on Business annual, that is $1.60 at 5 a month and $0.96 at 10 or 25 a month. At 25 a month, the Site License at $1.50 per invite would cost $450 a year, so Business with extra invites stays cheaper (checked October 2026).
The monthly-billing column assumes extras cost $0.96 there too; SignNow lists one rate per plan, so confirm it before you rely on it. For how these numbers compare across the market, see what e-signature software actually costs.
Which SignNow plan fits you
Pick the plan by the feature you need, then check the invite count, because every self-serve plan carries the same 100-invite allowance.
| Your situation | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Small team sending under 100 finished documents a year | Business, annual | $96 a year for the whole team |
| Team sending one agreement to many people, or collecting payment | Business Premium, annual | Bulk send, signing links and payments for $180 a year |
| Business that needs SMS delivery, branding or signer passwords | Enterprise, annual | $360 a year, but $3.60 per extra invite |
| Company that needs the API, SSO, Salesforce or HIPAA | Site License | From $1.50 per invite, with phone support |
| Busy sender above 25 documents a month | Business, annual, plus extras | $0.96 per extra invite beats $1.50 on the Site License |
| Unsure of your volume and wanting a test first | The 7-day trial | Cancel before it ends if you entered a card, or it renews |
Prices in this table checked October 2026 on the SignNow pricing page.

How I reviewed SignNow
I and my team have used SignNow. For this review I also read SignNow's own pages and what its users wrote in 2026, and checked everything again between October 1 and October 3, 2026:
- SignNow's pricing page, its help center articles on invite limits and refunds, and its security page.
- SignNow's two March 2026 press releases on the MCP server and the ChatGPT app.
- Trustpilot reviews dated January to October 2026, read by theme, plus the Trustpilot and Capterra rating pages. Capterra showed no 2026-dated reviews, G2 blocked access, and a Reddit search found no 2026 threads.
- The cost math in this review, done at 5, 10 and 25 documents a month from the prices above.
Who should skip SignNow
Skip SignNow if your needs are heavier than its self-serve plans, or so light and uneven that a yearly plan with a meter is wasted. Each group has a better fit:
- Regulated or enterprise teams: if you need HIPAA, SOC 2, SSO, Salesforce or roles and approvals, buy SignNow's Site License or look at DocuSign, which suit that work.
- Teams that build proposals: PandaDoc vs SignNow covers the proposal-builder route.
- Anyone comparing the wider field: the SignNow alternatives page lines up the options.
- People who sign a few documents a month, unevenly: read on.
If you want a simple way to get a document signed, with no subscription and no hidden fees, SignWith is built for that. There are no seats and no plan: you buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed.
A declined, voided or expired document uses no credit, while every signed document uses a free document or a credit, including one only you sign.
10 signed documents a month for a year, one sender
- SignWith, cheapest packs84 paid documents: 1 x Basic + 1 x Pro + 1 x Business$57
- SignWith Lifetime Dealone-time, unlimited credits$149
- SignNow Business annual, 100 invites plus 20 extra$115.20 per year$115.20
- SignNow, billed monthly Business$20 per month$240
Here is the same comparison at all three volumes, SignNow Business prices checked October 2026 on the SignNow pricing page:
| Volume | SignNow Business, annual | SignWith, 1 year |
|---|---|---|
| 5 a month | $96 | 3 free a month, plus one Pro pack ($19) for the other 24 |
| 10 a month | $115.20 | 3 free a month, plus a Business, a Pro and a Basic pack ($29, $19, $9) for the other 84 |
| 25 a month | $288 | The Lifetime Deal, $149 once, which beats buying packs for the other 264 |
Over 3 years, SignNow Business at 25 documents a month comes to $864 (checked October 2026), against the Lifetime Deal paid once. The gap widens if you cancel or resend often, because SignNow counts every send and SignWith uses a credit only once a document is signed.
SignWith also has a REST API and an MCP server, so your own code or an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code) can send documents for you:
- Both come with every SignWith account, with no developer plan and no subscription.
- Both run on the same pay-per-document credits: 3 free documents a month, then you buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed.
- Setup is in the SignWith API docs and the SignWith MCP server docs.
SignNow has its own MCP server too, included with its paid plans, so the difference is the billing model, not the AI access. SignWith reminders, team accounts, templates, bulk send and integrations are coming soon, so if you need those today, SignNow is the better buy. SignWith is used by 1,000+ businesses.
No subscription. You buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed. One credit covers one signed document, however many people sign it.
- Unlimited credits
- Never expires
- One-time payment

Frequently asked questions
Is SignNow legit?
- Yes. SignNow is an established e-signature tool sold as airSlate SignNow, rated well on Capterra and Trustpilot in October 2026. Most 2026 complaints are about billing, the 100-invite yearly cap and support, not about the signing itself.
Does SignNow have a free plan?
- No. SignNow offers a 7-day free trial and no free plan for sending, as its pricing page showed in October 2026. Its refund policy says a trial with a card entered renews automatically unless you cancel before it ends.
How many documents can I send with SignNow?
- Annual plans include 100 signature invites a year per user and monthly plans 10 a month, and free extra users share that pool. Past it, extra invites cost $0.96 on Business, $1.80 on Business Premium and $3.60 on Enterprise. Source: SignNow Help Center, checked October 2026.
Do unused SignNow invites roll over?
- No. SignNow says unused invites do not roll over into the next year, and every subscriber starts each year with a fresh allowance. A cancelled invite is not returned either, so cancelling and resending counts as two invites.
Can I get a refund from SignNow?
- Sometimes. The SignNow refund policy, dated March 3, 2026, lets you ask within 30 days of your first payment and may refuse after significant use. Extra-invite fees are strictly non-refundable, and plans bought through the sales team or an app store are not refunded by SignNow. Source: SignNow refund policy.
Is SignNow HIPAA compliant?
- SignNow lists HIPAA on its security page, and its pricing page places industry-specific compliance, including HIPAA, on the Site License, priced from $1.50 per invite (checked October 2026). Confirm the plan with SignNow sales in writing before you handle patient data.
Does SignNow have an MCP server?
- Yes. SignNow launched an MCP server on March 18, 2026 that works with Claude, Cursor, VS Code, n8n and Make, and its announcement says access is included with existing paid plans. A SignNow app inside ChatGPT followed on March 31, 2026.
E-signature rules vary by country, state and document type, so check with a legal professional that an e-signature suits your specific agreement before you rely on it.
