BoloSign Review 2026: Pricing, Features & Honest Verdict
A BoloSign review on prices checked October 2026: the $10 plan caps PDFs at 10 a month, where unlimited starts, refund terms, and what 2026 users say.
BoloSign sells itself on "unlimited signatures" from $10 a month. The $10 plan is real, but it is billed yearly, it is built "for people just looking to take signatures in Forms", and it caps PDFs at 10 a month. Unlimited PDFs start on the $49 Team plan, and even there a fair-use clause applies.
My BoloSign review in one line: it is a good, cheap way to collect signatures inside Google Forms, and a less clear deal for sending PDF contracts, where the plan you need, the add-ons and the refund rules all sit in the small print.
I and my team have used BoloSign, and for this review I checked its own pages and 2026 user reviews in October 2026.

BoloSign review verdict: who it's for and who should skip it
BoloSign is worth paying for when your signatures come through Google Forms, or when a team sends enough PDFs to use the flat Team price with unlimited members. It is poor value when one person sends a few PDF contracts a month, because the cheapest paid plan is built for forms and caps PDFs at 10.
Best for: schools, clubs and small businesses that collect signed consent or registration forms in Google Forms; teams of several senders who want one flat price; businesses that need a HIPAA BAA as a paid add-on.
Skip if: you mainly send PDF contracts on your own, your volume swings from month to month, you need reminders without paying $99 a month, or you want an AI assistant to send documents through an official MCP server.
Here is how users rate BoloSign, checked October 2026. Review sites still list it under its older name, BoloForms Signature.
| Platform | Rating | Number of reviews or ratings | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| AppSumo, BoloForms Signature | 4.85 / 5 | 264 reviews | October 2026 |
| Capterra, BoloForms Signature | 4.6 / 5 | 99 reviews | October 2026 |
| Google Workspace Marketplace, Forms add-on | 4.42 / 5 | 1,007 ratings | October 2026 |
| Trustpilot, boloforms.com | 2.9 / 5 | 2 reviews | October 2026 |
| G2, BoloForms | No score | 0 reviews | October 2026 |

What users say about BoloSign in 2026
The scores depend on who is reviewing. AppSumo reviewers bought a lifetime deal, Capterra reviewers mostly use it at work, and the Workspace listing collects quick ratings from Google Forms users. Trustpilot has only two reviews, so its 2.9 says little on its own.
BoloSign ratings depend on where you look
“Been using BoloSign for a while now and it syncs really well with Google Forms. The whole signature process is smooth and easy to manage.”
“The platform is intuitive, but the real standout is the communication with the team.”
“Form stopped working and when I contacted support I realized I was overcharged by 3x. Once I asked for a refund for the over charges, customer support stopped responding for nearly a month.”
“It doesn't define, 'light usage' and no where can I find what this costs afterwards. This is really misleading.”
“Product is good, service is terrible; however, they come hand in hand so stay away.”
Review snapshot checked Oct 2026.
Below, the complaints are grouped by theme and given in full, with a few of the strongest positives. Every quote is from 2026, copied as written, and linked to where it was posted.
Pricing and billing: the loudest complaint
The negative reviews about money are specific: an overcharge and a partial refund, a free tier that turned out to be limited, and a fee to change a login email.
“Form stopped working and when I contacted support I realized I was overcharged by 3x. Once I asked for a refund for the over charges, customer support stopped responding for nearly a month.”
“Had to search for both owners emails to explain the overcharge and they would only refund $50 of the $240 that was over charged. Afterwards they locked me out of the existing forms that I over paid for.”
The same reviewer, in the same review.
“It says it's free. But after you install it, it says 'free for the first 10 uses'. When I went back to read to find out how much it costs, it says 'Free for light usage'. It doesn't define, 'light usage' and no where can I find what this costs afterwards. This is really misleading.”
“Was told this would come with a $49 admin charge "to transfer everything".”
After asking to change the email address on his lifetime-deal login.
“It does take a few minutes to figure out the first time, and I would appreciate more signatures included in the free version, as that is what led me to use this platform originally.”
BoloSign's pricing page lists the Free plan at 2 PDFs and 5 form submissions, which fits the reviewers who found the free tier smaller than they expected.
Support: fast for some, missing for others
Support splits the reviews more than anything else. Two reviewers call the service poor, one after more than a month without a proper resolution, while two Capterra reviewers praise how fast the team replied.
“Oh and customer service will string you along over a month without a proper resolution. They will offer a fraction of the refund and tell you not to email all of the support agents who never responded.”
The same reviewer as above, on Trustpilot.
“Product is good, service is terrible; however, they come hand in hand so stay away.”
“I was surprised by how quickly they responded to our inquiries; they even implemented a couple of our requests as new features within just a few days.”
“Overall, the support team at BoloForms have replied at a quite fantastic rate - currently delivering 100% success to allow us to deliver a registration app that reroutes according to responses.”
BoloSign's plan comparison promises "Support Reply within 2 Days" on the Freelancer, Team and Growing Business plans.
Ease of use: simple inside Google Forms
Most praise is about how easily the add-on fits into Google Forms, and one Capterra reviewer calls the platform intuitive. The negatives are about getting it to work in the first place.
“The google forms add-on did not work the first time I installed it and I had to uninstall and reinstall.”
“its not working to me help me ive been struggling”
“Adding the signature box to a Google form is simple and easy to understand.”
“Been using BoloSign for a while now and it syncs really well with Google Forms. The whole signature process is smooth and easy to manage...”
“The platform is intuitive, but the real standout is the communication with the team.”
Signer experience: easy when the form works
Signers don't need special software or a Google account, and reviewers like that. The one 2026 complaint here is a form that stopped working at random.
“For was nice when it worked, however randomly at different time the form would not work leaving me to contact support for help.”
The same reviewer as in the billing section, on Software Advice.
“Because a lot of users don't have PDF or Word app installed in their computer or mobile phones. It will be difficult for them to sign documents on their side. But with BoloForms it makes thing easy.”
“The BoloForms makes collecting signatures from my teachers quick and easy. I can collect in person or by sending an email, and everything shows up in one easy spreadsheet for my records.”
Features, the API, and no MCP server
Feature complaints are about how signing works inside Google Forms and how generated PDFs handle languages.
“This is useless addon, They make you use their service to request signature instead of adding a field to the google form.”
“When generating PDF, we need to set the language, and that affects what's been displayed in the PDF. The fact is, there are many users will enter different languages when filling the forms, so it may end up not showing properly in the PDF.”
“Similar UI as Google Form. and the fast PDF generation and email generation speed as this is important for legal documents.”
I found no 2026 user review about BoloSign's API. BoloSign sells the API separately (prices below), and it has no MCP server of its own.
I checked its pricing page, API page, developer docs, both websites and its GitHub account on October 5, 2026, and found none. Truto, Elaichi and Zapier offer MCP connectors for BoloSign's API, but other companies run those, not BoloSign.
What BoloSign is, and is it the same as BoloForms?
BoloSign is an e-signature tool from Closer Innovation Labs Corp. It started as BoloForms, and three names now point at related things:
- BoloSign on boloforms.com: the e-signature product for small businesses, with the plans and prices in this review.
- bolosign.com: BoloSign's newer AI contract-management site, sold through demos with no public prices.
- BoloForms Signature: the name AppSumo, Capterra and Software Advice still use for the same e-signature product.
BoloSign is not BoldSign, a different e-signature company with a similar name.
The core product is a Google Forms add-on, "Signature in Google Forms by Bolo", that turns each form response into a signed PDF with an audit trail. BoloSign also signs uploaded PDFs and templates, and signers need no Google account.
Its pricing page lists integrations with Google Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Pipedrive, HighLevel, HubSpot and Stripe, depending on the plan.
What BoloSign does well
BoloSign's strengths are real, and they are mostly about forms and teams.
- Signatures inside Google Forms. Freelancer includes 100 form signatures a month, Team 500, and Growing Business unlimited, under fair use. Few e-signature tools are built around Google Forms like this.
- One price for the whole team. Team lists "Unlimited Members" at $49 a month billed yearly, with shared templates, bulk send and an admin dashboard. Most rivals charge per user.
- Compliance options. BoloSign's Trust Center lists HIPAA, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2, GDPR and CCPA, and a HIPAA BAA is available on every plan for $49 a month.
- A free trial and a free plan. Each paid plan offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and the Free plan has no time limit.
BoloSign pricing in 2026 (checked October 2026)
BoloSign's pricing page shows yearly prices by default, with "Upto 40% Off". The monthly prices are behind a toggle; the same page's FAQ states them. Here is what the page listed on October 5, 2026, before tax:
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | PDFs a month | Form signatures a month | Members |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 2 PDFs | 5 form submissions | Not listed |
| Freelancer | $10 a month | $15 a month | 10 | 100 | Not listed |
| Team | $49 a month | $69 a month | Unlimited, fair use | 500 | Unlimited, fair use |
| Growing Business | $99 a month | $129 a month | Unlimited, fair use | Unlimited, fair use | Unlimited, fair use |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Contact sales | Custom | Unlimited | Custom |
Freelancer also includes 10 templates and 10 template responses a month. Features step up by plan: bulk send and shared templates start on Team; reminders, read receipts, email branding, password-protected PDFs, Stripe and two workspaces start on Growing Business; SSO, CRM integrations and approval workflows are Enterprise only.
Add-ons cost extra on every plan:
- HIPAA BAA: $49 a month, billed monthly.
- SMS: $12 for 500 SMS credits, one time, where one credit is one send.
- API: priced two ways on two BoloSign pages, both checked October 2026. The pricing page FAQ says $20 a month plus $0.20 per document, with 100 documents a month included. The API page shows $72 a month for 200 documents and $0.50 for each document beyond 200, with sandbox testing for $0.

Where BoloSign falls short
The weak points are in the terms around the product. Each one below comes from BoloSign's own pages, checked October 2026.
- "Unlimited" starts at $49, not $10. Freelancer caps PDFs at 10 a month. Team and Growing Business say "Unlimited PDFs*", and the asterisk reads "Fair Usage Policy Applicable".
- Unlimited has a fair-use limit BoloSign can change. Its Terms say unlimited plans get "unlimited signing within the scope of reasonable use", and BoloSign may amend "usage limits, unlimited plan terms" "at our discretion and without prior notice".
- Reminders cost $99 a month. They appear only from Growing Business up.
- Plans renew on their own. "Subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period."
- Refunds are narrow. The Terms say paid fees are non-refundable except where the law requires. The Refund Policy considers "exceptional circumstances" only, within 7 days of purchase, and deducts "$0.30 plus 2% of the original amount".
- Missed cancellations are not refunded. The Refund Policy lists "failure to cancel subscriptions before renewal" as a reason it won't refund.
BoloSign's Terms also say it may process documents you submit with "AI partners including but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini". Check that against your own privacy rules before you upload sensitive contracts.
What a year of BoloSign costs at 5, 10 and 25 documents a month
At real small-business volumes, one sender of PDF contracts pays $120, $120 or $588 a year for BoloSign. The table uses the cheapest plan that covers each volume, on prices checked October 2026 on BoloSign's pricing page, before tax.
| Volume, one sender | Cheapest BoloSign plan that fits | 1 year, billed yearly | 1 year, billed monthly | 3 years, billed yearly | Per PDF, yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 a month (60 a year) | Freelancer, because Free covers 2 PDFs | $120 | $180 | $360 | $2.00 |
| 10 a month (120 a year) | Freelancer, which caps at exactly 10 PDFs | $120 | $180 | $360 | $1.00 |
| 25 a month (300 a year) | Team, because Freelancer caps at 10 PDFs | $588 | $828 | $1,764 | $1.96 |
The jump from $120 to $588 is the real price step. Freelancer's 10 template responses are listed separately from its 10 PDFs, but BoloSign's pricing page doesn't say they can stand in for PDF sends, so the table doesn't count on them. Add $588 a year if you need the HIPAA BAA.
Which BoloSign plan fits you
Match the plan to how your signatures arrive, not to the headline price.
| You are | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Someone testing BoloSign with a couple of documents | Free | 2 PDFs and 5 form submissions, no time limit |
| A school, club or small business signing through Google Forms | Freelancer, $120 a year | 100 form signatures a month |
| A team sending many PDFs or forms | Team, $588 a year | Unlimited members and PDFs under fair use, bulk send |
| A business that needs reminders, branding or Stripe | Growing Business, $1,188 a year | Those features start here |
| A business that needs SSO, CRM integrations or approvals | Enterprise, through sales | Those features are Enterprise only |
| A developer embedding signing in an app | API, $20 or $72 a month | Priced separately; the two BoloSign pages disagree |
| One person sending a few PDF contracts a month, unevenly | Probably not BoloSign | You pay for a plan either way; see the last section |

How I reviewed BoloSign
I and my team have used BoloSign. For this review I also read BoloSign's own pages and what its users wrote in 2026, and checked everything again on October 5, 2026:
- Vendor pages: the eSignature pricing page and its FAQ, the API page, the Terms of Service, the Refund Policy and the Trust Center, all checked October 5, 2026.
- MCP check: BoloSign's pricing and API pages, its developer docs, the sitemaps of both its websites and its GitHub account, October 5, 2026. None lists an MCP server.
- Review platforms: Capterra, Software Advice, AppSumo, Trustpilot and the Google Workspace Marketplace, reviews dated January to August 2026. G2 lists BoloForms with no reviews.
- Forums: the Reddit threads that mention BoloSign, found through Google. They are one to five years old, so none are quoted.
Who should skip BoloSign, and what to use instead
Keep BoloSign if you collect signatures through Google Forms, or if a team sends enough PDFs to use the flat Team price. If your business needs a HIPAA BAA or SOC 2, BoloSign offers both, with the BAA at extra cost; if you just need your documents signed, use SignWith.
Skip BoloSign if you are one or two people who send a few PDF contracts a month, unevenly, and don't want a plan that renews every month or year. That is who we built SignWith for.
SignWith has no seats and no subscription. You buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed. Every signed document uses one of your free monthly documents or a credit, including one that only you sign, and a declined, voided or expired document uses none.
- Upload a PDF, JPEG or PNG, add signature, date, text and checkbox fields, and set the signing order.
- Your recipients sign in the browser on any device, with no account.
- Every completed document comes with a Certificate of Completion that records timestamps, IP addresses, device and browser details and email events, sealed with a SHA-256 hash.

- BoloSign, billed monthly Freelancer$15 per month$180
Here is the same year, side by side, at all three volumes. BoloSign prices checked October 2026; SignWith prices render from our pricing data, and the free monthly documents continue after you buy packs.
| Volume | BoloSign, 1 year | SignWith, 1 year |
|---|---|---|
| 5 a month | $120 (Freelancer) | 3 free a month cover 36 documents; one Pro pack covers the other 24 for $19 |
| 10 a month | $120 (Freelancer) | 84 paid documents: one Business, one Pro and one Basic pack, $29 plus $19 plus $9 |
| 25 a month | $588 (Team) | 264 paid documents: the Lifetime Deal at $149 one-time, cheaper than buying packs |
At today's prices that saves $101 (84%) at 5 a month, $63 (53%) at 10 and $439 (75%) at 25, in the first year. Over 3 years, BoloSign comes to $360, $360 and $1,764 at those volumes, against the Lifetime Deal at $149 one-time, once.
BoloSign sells API access separately, at $20 a month or $72 a month depending on which of its pages you read (checked October 2026), and it has no MCP server of its own. SignWith takes a different route:
- An API and an MCP server on every account. SignWith has a REST API and an MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code, so your own code or your assistant can send documents for signature.
- No MCP server at BoloSign. To do the same with BoloSign, you would need a connector run by another company on top of BoloSign's separately priced API.
- The same credits as the app. No subscription, no developer plan, 3 free documents a month, then you buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed.
SignWith has no form builder, and SignWith templates, bulk send, reminders, team accounts and integrations are coming soon, so if you need Google Forms signatures or any of those today, BoloSign is the better buy. SignWith is used by 1,000+ businesses, and you can start free with no card.
No subscription. You buy credits, and a credit is used only when a document is signed. One credit covers one signed document, however many people sign it.

Frequently asked questions
Is BoloSign legit?
- Yes. BoloSign is a real e-signature product from Closer Innovation Labs Corp., sold on boloforms.com and rated 4.6 out of 5 from 99 reviews on Capterra (checked October 2026). Most 2026 complaints are about billing, refunds and slow support, and a few about the Google Forms add-on not working.
Is BoloSign free?
- There is a Free plan with no time limit, but it covers 2 PDFs and 5 form submissions, per BoloSign's pricing page (checked October 2026). Paid plans start at $10 a month billed yearly, or $15 billed monthly, and each offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card.
Does BoloSign have a monthly plan?
- Yes. The pricing page shows yearly prices by default, and its FAQ lists the monthly prices: Freelancer $15, Team $69 and Growing Business $129 a month, against $10, $49 and $99 billed yearly (checked October 2026).
Is BoloSign really unlimited?
- Not on the $10 Freelancer plan, which allows 10 PDFs a month. Unlimited PDFs start on Team at $49 a month billed yearly, under a fair-use policy that BoloSign's Terms say it can change at its discretion (checked October 2026).
Does BoloSign have an MCP server?
- No. On October 5, 2026, BoloSign's pricing page, API page, developer docs and GitHub account showed no MCP server. Truto, Elaichi and Zapier offer MCP connectors for its API, but other companies run those. BoloSign's API itself is priced separately.
Does BoloSign offer a HIPAA BAA?
- BoloSign's Trust Center lists HIPAA, and its pricing page sells a HIPAA BAA as an add-on on every plan for $49 a month (checked October 2026). Confirm the BAA in writing before you send health information.
Can I get a refund from BoloSign?
- Only in narrow cases. BoloSign's Refund Policy considers exceptional circumstances, such as billing errors, if you ask within 7 days of purchase, and deducts $0.30 plus 2%. It does not refund a renewal you forgot to cancel (checked October 2026).
E-signature rules vary by country, state and document type, so check with a legal professional that an e-signature suits your specific agreement before you rely on it.
