BoldSign Review 2026: Pricing, Features & Honest Verdict
BoldSign review 2026: a free plan with 25 envelopes a month, cheap seats, add-ons billed per use, and an API and MCP server that need a $30 a month plan.
BoldSign is the e-signature product from Syncfusion. In October 2026 its pricing page shows four web app plans, Essential (free), Growth, Business and Premium, plus a separate Enterprise API plan for developers.
The free plan is real and generous: 25 envelopes a month for one user who signs up with a business email, with no end date. The paid plans are cheap per seat. What costs extra is everything you pay for per use, and anything you send through the API or an AI assistant.
My BoldSign review in one line: for one person sending up to 25 documents a month in the web app, BoldSign's free plan is hard to beat, but the API and MCP route starts at $30 a month, add-ons are billed at the end of the cycle, and recent reviews flag support gaps and an iOS app that crashed.

BoldSign review verdict: who it's for and who should skip it
BoldSign is a strong buy for a single sender: the free Essential plan covers 25 envelopes a month with reminders, an audit trail, custom branding and the mobile apps. For a team, Business at $15 per user a month billed yearly gives unlimited envelopes and templates, SSO and HIPAA support.
Best for: one person sending 25 or fewer documents a month in the web app; small teams that want templates, bulk send, team management or HubSpot and Salesforce integrations; healthcare teams that need a BAA on an annual plan; nonprofits, which get Growth free.
Skip if: you want to send documents from your own software or an AI assistant without paying $30 a month first, you would rather pay before you send than have add-ons billed at the end of the cycle, or you send more than 25 documents in some months and none in others.
Here is how users rate BoldSign on review sites, checked October 2026.

Sources: G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, the App Store listing and the Google Play listing. On Trustpilot, 14% of BoldSign's reviews are 1-star, and the profile says BoldSign "Hasn't replied to negative reviews" and has no recent history of asking for reviews.
What users say about BoldSign, 2024 to 2026
The quotes below come from G2, Trustpilot, Capterra, the App Store, Google Play and Reddit, written from November 2024 to October 2026. They are grouped by theme, with the complaints in full and a few positives. Each is copied as written, dated and linked.
Pricing and billing: good value, with two plan surprises
Reviewers who mention price call BoldSign good value next to DocuSign and others. The two billing complaints are about plan features: SMS that did not work in one reviewer's country, and a G2 reviewer who bought Growth for its Google integration and was asked to upgrade to Business.
“I signed up to their paid plan and was disappointed - they don't have SMS support for the country I needed available and that wasn't clear upfront. So I switched to another provider and asked for a refund, which I received after two months.”
A 3-star review titled "Didn't have the coutry I needed, got a refund".
“Good value and functionality compared to DocuSign. Would be great if there was native SharePoint/OneDrive extensions.”
A 4-star review.
“Really disappointed with the service that I have received from bold sign. I chose the growth plan for our business based upon the fact that Google integration was offered. However when I tried to implement this I was asked to upgrade to the business plan.”
A review titled "Waste of time. False advertising and poor customer service". BoldSign replied on G2, apologized and asked the reviewer to write to its sales team.
“The knowledgeable tech/sales person (Brenda) made a big difference in our organization choosing BoldSign in addition to the excellent non-profit pricing and the bulk sends. Every other company was more expensive and didn't provide the ease of use that BoldSign's bulk send did”
“Love this software esy to uses, and it's free at least 300 pages sending a year.”
Bulk send, SMS delivery and the other add-ons are billed per use on Business and above. The add-on prices are in the pricing section below.
Support: unanswered emails, closed accounts and slow replies
Support is the most common complaint on this page, from 10 reviewers on G2, Trustpilot, Reddit and Google Play: a sales team that did not reply, two accounts closed without warning or explanation, slow and hard-to-follow support, a tax error, a glitch that support called common, and repeated emails asking for a review.
Two reviewers praise the support they got, and one names the staff who helped her.
“Horrible. Can’t even get a sales rep to reply. Don’t use them. 5 people on a call to do the walk through trial. Wanted to proceed with the software but trying to get someone to respond to an email, you get crickets. Can’t imagine if I became an actual customer ~so glad I didn’t go with this company.”
A 1-star review from someone who did not become a customer.
“I would not recommend boldsign if you plan on using it more than once. I recently switched from docusign for my business and all of my employees hate it because they constantly get logged out or even “blocked”. After a week of waiting I spoke with customer service who straight up told me it was a common glitch they experience.”
“They shut down my account after 1 month without any explanation.”
A 1-star review.
“Terrible customer service”
A 1-star review.
“The customer service is shocking. I have a clear screen shot saying that Google integration is offered on the growth plan, however when I contacted customer services they said that Google integration only means that you can upload a document from a Google drive...”
The same reviewer as the Growth plan complaint above.
“They cancelled our account without any warning. I logged in to see that our account will expire in a month (I paid for a year). We are a Legally licensed business in the State of Nevada...”
A review titled "Cancelled our Account Without Notice." No vendor reply shown.
“The support is terrible. Communication is slow, repetitive, and often handled by people who clearly lack the necessary context...”
A review titled "Impressive product completely let down by unresponsive and unqualified support".
“Support is outsourced to Kenya, which wouldn't be a problem in itself, but it becomes one when someone who has never set foot in the U.S. confidently tells me I don't understand how U.S. tax law works. They mishandled a billing address, applied incorrect taxation, and then refused to acknowledge or fix it. The software is great, but the disconnect between product quality and the support experience is massive. If you're a U.S.-based customer, proceed with caution...”
The same reviewer. BoldSign replied on G2 that the tax issue was resolved within days and that its team in Kenya is in-house, not outsourced.
“Poor service, massive communication barrier and not very helpful...”
A review titled "Poor, technical support are not very helpful and poor language barrier." BoldSign replied on G2 that the feedback went to a senior support manager.
“The team was helpful but hard to communicate with...”
A review titled "Tough to communicate with the staff." BoldSign replied on G2.
“The people hounding me for reviews are obnoxious. 12 emails so far. Honestly I am probably going to switch to self hosted open sign just so no one every asks me to review their product...”
A review titled "The product is good, but the review people suck". The reviewer liked that the product "does what it says it will do".
“I accidently did not cancel my premium in time due to a personal emergency and BoldSign was able to help refund me. I really appreciated their customer service.”
A 4-star review from a small church.
“Boldsign has been incredibly easy to use, especially when setting up a Confidentiality Agreement to embed directly on our website. What really stood out was the support... Malince and his team were lovely, meeting me on multiple occasions to guide me through a tailored solution.”
Ease of use: easy for most, clunky for some
Capterra reviewers rate BoldSign's ease of use 4.8 out of 5, and many of the reviewers quoted here call it easy to use. The complaints are about sending to yourself, bulk send, templates and the lack of a beginner tutorial.
“The signing process on my end as creator is very clunky. I've been using this platform 2 months and still can't get it right!”
A 3 out of 5 review titled "Clunky Document signing".
“That it is not clear or intuitive how to send myself the document as a signer when I send it to the client. Why can't I send the document to myself at the same time I send it to the client for signing?”
The same reviewer's cons. BoldSign replied with links to its help articles.
“The user face could be a bit updated and using the Bulk send feature wasn't as intuitive as I had hoped, hence the 4 stars.”
“Navigating through a large library of saved templates occasionally feels less intuitive than expected, requiring a few extra clicks to categorize or retrieve specific versions.”
Shown in Capterra's pros and cons highlights.
“First I reviewed the material although I wish it had a tutorial for beginners but since I already came from another contract signing app I already knew what to do but it will be great if they had a quick basic tutorial.”
A 5-star review.
“For first time users, some advance features may be difficult to understand at first...”
The dislikes in a review titled "Easy, Straightforward, and User-Friendly Interface", which G2 marks as incentivized.
“It's very easy to use. I like it more than AdobeSign and Dcusign bcause it is very straight forward.”
“Used the free and it works great!”
Signer experience: one painful date field, mostly smooth otherwise
The strongest signer complaint is from a person who was sent a BoldSign document and had to click back month by month to enter a birth date. Reviewers who send documents say their clients and patients sign without trouble.
“Where do I begin?? If I didn't have to use it I wouldn't. The boldsign was send to me to sign and I needed to input my birthday, guess what? You have to literally click every month going back. Had to click 68 times to go back to my son's birthday...”
A 1-star review from someone who was sent a document to sign.
“I think signers should have a tool to redline and comment on a contract if there are issues they need to have reviewed.”
The cons in a 5 out of 5 review.
“Streamlined platform for digital signatures that functions much better for our business than Docusign did with their envelope limitations. The app works great on phone and our clients have not had any issues changing over from Docusign.”
“It’s secure, simple to navigate, and makes collecting signatures from patients and providers quick and efficient.”
From a medical clinic.
“Easy way to share documents to multiple people requiring their signature. Easy way to know what and where is expected of each person signing.”
Features, reliability, the apps, the API and MCP
The reliability complaints are about the mobile apps, uploads and downtime: two App Store reviews in late September 2026 say the iOS app was not working, reviews on Google Play and Capterra mention crashes and lost text, and a G2 reviewer says the site went down so clients could not sign.
The one API review quoted here is a September 2026 G2 complaint about permissions and API keys tied to single users.
“Currently this app is not working. I use it often, but now must resort to computer access.”
A 3-star review titled "App Not Working!".
“Opens and crashes.”
A 1-star review titled "App doesn’t work at all".
“sometimes my documents don't upload correctly and it seems to crash regularly.”
Shown in Capterra's pros and cons highlights.
“The app has stopped working completely. Every single time that I enter a text boxand click out of it, the text or signature dissapears. What a shame... the app was fine for about a week.”
A 1-star review.
“As a workaround I needed to use REGEX rules - which users often did not understand the error message associated with the rule and often overlooked.”
Shown in Capterra's pros and cons highlights.
“Very easy and reliable. Fair price. But, I wish I could download the signed document with the audit trail combined at the end instead of having to download them separately and then combining the PDFs.”
“Can't seem to enable notifications”
A 4-star review.
“Really easy to use! One suggestion: in addition to the saved signature (that you can actually import) please add an option to import and save seals (like corporate seals or notary seals). Currently you can use an insert image option to achieve this, but a dedicated seal option would be great.”
“...downloading a document requires keeping track of the "on behalf of" ID. The UX has little design thought. Finding and editing contacts is never where I expect it to be. The permissions structure is completely asinine. API keys and webhooks are associated with individual users rather than the organization, which means documents sent by an API key are only visible by the one user rather than a team...”
A review titled "You get what you pay for", which opens: "The API has an undocumented quirk". Its likes: "The price is lower than the competition."
“It can be tricky to use, I've had the site go down so clients could not sign their documents a few times...”
A review titled "Average software", which G2 marks as incentivized. Its likes: "It's affordable, much less than competitors prices."
“...the only thing I would make better is to have the audit trail be embedded within the document and not to have a separate audit trail document...”
The same request as the Google Play review above, from a reviewer who starts: "There is nothing I don't like about it".
“I just started using boldsign and generally happy with it so far, really like the bulksend (upload a csv with each doc on one row and pair it with a template) will save me a lot of hours during spring when we renew leases.”
Apart from that G2 review, the only other API review I found on G2 is a 2024 review that G2 marks as from a business partner of the seller or a competitor and leaves out of its scores, so it is not quoted here.
I found no user review about BoldSign's MCP server on G2, Trustpilot, Capterra, the app stores, Reddit or Hacker News. The API and the MCP server are both covered from BoldSign's own pages below. I found no BoldSign reviews on X or LinkedIn that I could quote.
What BoldSign is and its key features
BoldSign is an e-signature service made by Syncfusion, a developer tools company in Morrisville, North Carolina. You upload a document, place fields, add signers and send it as an envelope, on the web or in the iOS and Android apps. Signers don't need an account or pay anything. Several documents in one envelope count as one envelope.
Here is what each plan includes, per BoldSign's pricing page and plan comparison table, checked October 8, 2026:
| Feature | Essential | Growth | Business | Premium | Enterprise API |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price, billed yearly | $0 | $5 a user a month | $15 a user a month | $99 a month | From $30 a month |
| Price, billed monthly | $0 | $15 a user a month | $25 a user a month | $138 a month | From $30 a month |
| Users included | 1 | 1 | 1 | Unlimited | 2 |
| Envelopes a month | 25 | 50 per user | Unlimited | 250 | Unlimited; API: 40, then $0.75 each |
| Templates | 2 | 10 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Live API envelopes | Sandbox only | Sandbox only | Sandbox only | Sandbox only | Yes |
| Reminders, audit trail, custom branding | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Team management, in-person signing | No | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| SSO, HIPAA, custom email domain | No | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Bulk send, SMS, ID check (paid per use) | No | No | Add-on | Add-on | Add-on |
Extra users are $5 a month on Growth and $15 on Business at the yearly price, and $28 on Enterprise API.
The pricing page labels its two price sets "Yearly - Save 40%" and "Monthly"; BoldSign's yearly in-app prices in the App Store are close to the yearly set, at $59.99 a year for Growth and $179.99 a year for Business.
What BoldSign does well
BoldSign's strengths are real, and most of them come cheap.
- A free plan that lasts. Essential does not expire and covers 25 envelopes a month for an eligible business-email account, with reminders, an audit trail, signer authentication, custom branding and the apps.
- Cheap seats. Business at $15 a user a month billed yearly gives unlimited envelopes and templates, SSO and HIPAA support.
- Nonprofit pricing. BoldSign's pricing FAQ says Growth is free for nonprofits, with 50% off Business and Premium.
- Team and volume features. Templates, team management, bulk send and bulk links, scheduled send, and HubSpot and Salesforce integrations.
- Security paperwork. SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA with a BAA, and data centers in the US, EU, Canada and Australia.
- An official MCP server. Hosted by BoldSign, with no local install.
BoldSign pricing in 2026 (checked October 2026)
BoldSign's pricing page lists prices in US dollars, before tax. Its headline is "Completely Transparent Pricing", and it says "you don’t have to deal with hidden document limits, feature limitations, or unexpected overage charges." The prices are clear; the per-use add-ons are where the bill can grow.
| Plan | Price billed yearly | Price billed monthly | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $0 | $0 | 25 envelopes a month, 2 templates, one user |
| Growth | $5 a user a month ($60 a year) | $15 a user a month | 50 envelopes a month per user, 10 templates |
| Business | $15 a user a month ($180 a year) | $25 a user a month | Unlimited envelopes and templates, SSO, HIPAA |
| Premium | $99 a month ($1,188 a year) | $138 a month | Unlimited users, 250 envelopes a month |
| Enterprise API | From $30 a month | From $30 a month | 40 API envelopes, then $0.75 each, 2 users |
The add-ons, billed per use. BoldSign's Pay As You Go help article lists these prices, checked October 8, 2026. Pay as you go works on Business and above, and "All usage is tracked and billed at the end of your billing cycle."
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| Bulk send | $0.25 per envelope |
| Bulk links | $0.25 per access |
| Envelope via SMS | $0.20 per SMS, varies by recipient country |
| Envelope via WhatsApp | $0.10 per message |
| SMS authentication | $0.20 per SMS, varies by recipient country |
| ID verification | $2.00 per verification |
| KBA authentication | $1.50 per attempt |
| QES verification | $3.00 per signing attempt |
| API eSignatures | $0.75 per envelope |
A few rules from BoldSign's own pages, checked October 8, 2026:
- An envelope is a send. The pricing FAQ defines an envelope as "the process of sending a document to one or more recipients for electronic signing", and the usage page counts "the number of signature requests sent".
- Past your limit. BoldSign's usage article says that once you reach the limit you can turn on pay as you go to send more, billed monthly. It does not publish an overage price for web app envelopes on Growth or Premium.
- The free plan depends on your email. The free trial gives 25 documents with a business email and 5 with a Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook or Yahoo address. BoldSign's trial FAQ says the free Essential plan has "document allowances based on the email domain used during signup", and calls the 25 envelopes a month allowance one "for eligible business-email accounts". It does not say what a Gmail account gets on Essential.
- Renewal. "Your subscriptions will be automatically renewed at the end of the billing cycle", and you can cancel any time in your account. The pricing page does not mention refunds.
- Trial. 30 days, no credit card.

Where BoldSign falls short
The weak points are the gap between the web app and the API, the per-use add-ons, and what reviewers say about support and the apps. Points 1 to 4 come from BoldSign's own pages, checked October 8, 2026; points 5 and 6 come from reviewers.
- No live API on any web app plan. Even Business and Premium get "Sandbox only" for API envelopes. Live API and MCP sending need the Enterprise API plan, from $30 a month.
- Add-ons are billed after the fact. SMS, WhatsApp, ID checks, KBA, QES and bulk send are charged per use and billed at the end of the billing cycle, after you have used them.
- Add-ons start at Business. Bulk send, ID verification and SMS delivery are not available on Essential or Growth.
- The free plan's size depends on your email. BoldSign states 25 envelopes a month for eligible business-email accounts and does not publish the Gmail figure.
- Support and account problems. Reviewers describe a sales team that never replied, two accounts closed without warning or explanation, slow support with a language barrier, a tax error, and a login glitch that support called common.
- App reliability. Two App Store reviews in late September 2026 say the iOS app was not working, reviews on Google Play (October 2025) and Capterra (July 2026) mention crashes and text that disappeared, and a G2 reviewer (May 2025) says the site went down so clients could not sign.
What a year of BoldSign costs at 5, 10 and 25 documents a month
For one sender using the web app with a business email, a year of BoldSign costs $0 at 5, 10 or 25 documents a month, because the free Essential plan covers up to 25 envelopes a month. Prices checked October 8, 2026 on BoldSign's pricing page, before tax:
| Volume, one sender | Web app, business email | If Essential does not cover you | By API or AI assistant (Enterprise API) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 a month (60 a year) | Essential, $0 | Growth, $60 a year billed yearly | $360 a year |
| 10 a month (120 a year) | Essential, $0 | Growth, $60 a year billed yearly | $360 a year |
| 25 a month (300 a year) | Essential, $0 | Growth, $60 a year billed yearly | $360 a year |
Growth billed monthly is $180 a year. Over 3 years the Enterprise API plan comes to $1,080 at any of these volumes, since 25 a month is inside its 40 included envelopes. Any add-ons you use come on top.
Which BoldSign plan fits you
Match the plan to how many people send, how much, and whether you send by API.
| You are | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| One person sending 25 or fewer documents a month, business email | Essential, free | 25 envelopes a month with no end date |
| One person sending up to 50 a month | Growth, $5 a month yearly | 50 envelopes a month and 10 templates |
| A team that needs SSO, HIPAA, bulk send or unlimited envelopes | Business, $15 a user a month yearly | Unlimited envelopes, add-ons available |
| A larger team that sends up to 250 a month | Premium, $99 a month yearly | Unlimited users for one price |
| Anyone sending from their own software or an AI assistant | Enterprise API, from $30 a month | The only plan with live API and MCP sending |
Which BoldSign plan fits you
- YesCheck firstEnterprise API, from $30 a month
- NoDo you need SSO, HIPAA, bulk send or more than 50 envelopes a month per user?
- YesGoBusiness or Premium
- NoGoEssential (free) or Growth
- Yes
The tree in words:
- Need to send live documents by API or through an AI assistant: buy Enterprise API, from $30 a month.
- Need SSO, HIPAA, bulk send or more than 50 envelopes a month per user: buy Business, or Premium for a larger team.
- Otherwise, Essential covers up to 25 envelopes a month, and Growth up to 50.
Does BoldSign have an API or an MCP server?
The API. Yes, a REST API. Every web app plan gets the API sandbox only; the pricing FAQ says the sandbox is free with no card, and test documents are watermarked and deleted after 14 days. Live sending needs Enterprise API: "$0.75 /envelope", starting at "$30/month, includes 40 envelopes", with two application users.
The MCP server. Yes. BoldSign's developer site describes a hosted MCP server: "There is no local server process to install or maintain." It works with Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot in VS Code, signs in with an API key or OAuth, and has endpoints in the US, EU, Canada and Australia. Agents can send documents from templates, check signing status and manage contacts, users and teams.
The pricing FAQ is clear on plans: "To send and manage live documents through MCP, you need a BoldSign Enterprise API subscription. MCP does not have a separate subscription fee; standard API envelope usage charges apply." You can test it on the free sandbox (checked October 8, 2026).
Is BoldSign secure and compliant?
BoldSign's security policy page states SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and says BoldSign is hosted on Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure in the US East, EU, Canada and Australia.
Card payments go through Stripe, which the page describes as PCI compliant. HIPAA is listed on Business and Premium, and BoldSign's HIPAA overview says that to comply "you must sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with BoldSign and an annual subscription plan" (checked October 8, 2026).
How I reviewed BoldSign
I and my team have used BoldSign. For this review I also read BoldSign's own pages and what its users wrote from 2024 to 2026, and checked everything again on October 8, 2026:
- Vendor pages: the pricing page with its comparison table and FAQ, the Pay As You Go help article, the document usage article, the free trial FAQ (updated October 1, 2026), the MCP server overview, and the security policy and HIPAA overview pages.
- Review platforms: all 21 Trustpilot reviews, 2025 to 2026; Capterra's highlights and its most helpful reviews, 2025 to 2026; all written App Store reviews, 2025 to 2026; and Google Play reviews from 2024 to 2026. G2's lowest-rated and most recent reviews, 2025 to 2026, read without logging in, so longer G2 reviews are cut where G2 hides the rest. Product Hunt has no BoldSign reviews page.
- Forums and social: a January 2026 Reddit thread in r/platform_engineering, including two replies from users who describe using BoldSign. Hacker News had mostly posts linking to BoldSign's own blog, plus two short user comments from 2021 and 2024 that suggest it. I found no BoldSign reviews on X or LinkedIn.
Who should skip BoldSign, and what to use instead
Keep BoldSign if:
- you are one person sending 25 or fewer documents a month from the web app with a business email: Essential costs $0, which beats SignWith's packs and its Lifetime Deal at 5, 10 and 25 a month
- you need templates, bulk send, team management, SSO, scheduled send, or HubSpot and Salesforce integrations today
- your business needs a vendor that states SOC 2 Type 2, or HIPAA with a BAA (Business and up, on an annual plan)
Skip BoldSign if you want to send documents from your own software or an AI assistant without a monthly plan, or if you are one or two people who send a few documents some months and many in others. That is who we built SignWith for.
SignWith has no seats and no subscription. You buy credits, and you pay only for documents that get signed. Every account gets 3 free documents a month, with no card.
- Upload a PDF, JPEG or PNG, add signature, date, text and checkbox fields, and set the signing order.
- Your recipients sign in the browser on any device, with no account.
- Every completed document comes with a Certificate of Completion that records timestamps, IP addresses, device and browser details and email events, sealed with a SHA-256 hash.
10 signed documents a month for a year, sent by API or an AI assistant
- SignWith, cheapest packs84 paid documents: 1 x Basic + 1 x Pro + 1 x Business$57
- SignWith Lifetime Dealone-time, unlimited credits$149
- BoldSign Enterprise API$30 per month$360
Here is the same year at all three volumes. BoldSign prices checked October 8, 2026; SignWith prices render from our pricing data, and the free monthly documents continue after you buy credits. SignWith's API and MCP use the same credits as the web app, so its column is the same either way.
| Volume | BoldSign web app, business email | BoldSign by API or MCP | SignWith, web app, API or MCP |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 a month | $0 on Essential | $360 | 3 free a month cover 36 documents; one Pro pack covers the other 24 for $19 |
| 10 a month | $0 on Essential | $360 | 84 paid documents: one Business, one Pro and one Basic pack, $29 plus $19 plus $9 |
| 25 a month | $0 on Essential | $360 | 264 paid documents: the Lifetime Deal at $149 one-time, cheaper than buying packs |
In the web app, BoldSign wins at all three volumes. By API or AI assistant, SignWith costs less at all three in the first year, and over 3 years BoldSign's Enterprise API comes to $1,080 against the Lifetime Deal at $149 one-time.
BoldSign has its own MCP server, so having one is not the difference. Here is where SignWith comes ahead for the person it is built for, each point checkable on both sites:
- The API and MCP on every account. SignWith has a REST API and an MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code, with no API plan or monthly fee. On BoldSign, every web app plan, Business and Premium included, gets "Sandbox only" API envelopes, and live API or MCP sending needs Enterprise API from $30 a month.
- No subscription to renew. SignWith credit packs are one-time purchases valid for 12 months, and the Lifetime Deal is one payment. BoldSign subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
- You pay for signed documents, not sends. On SignWith a credit is used only when a document is signed. BoldSign counts envelopes as signature requests sent.
- No bill after the fact. SignWith credit packs are one-time purchases you pay for at checkout, with no automatic renewal. BoldSign tracks pay-as-you-go use and add-ons and bills them at the end of the billing cycle.
- Credits, not a monthly allowance. SignWith pack credits are valid for 12 months, and the Lifetime Deal has unlimited credits. BoldSign's limits are monthly: 25 envelopes a month on Essential, 50 per user a month on Growth and 250 a month on Premium (Business is unlimited).
- The same free allowance whatever email you use. Every SignWith account gets 3 free documents a month. BoldSign's free plan sets allowances by the email domain you sign up with; its 25 a month is for business-email accounts, which is more than SignWith's if you have one.
SignWith templates, bulk send, automatic reminders, team accounts and integrations are coming soon, so if you need any of those today, BoldSign is the better buy. SignWith is used by 1,000+ businesses, and you can start free with no card.
