How do I add a date to a PDF?

Which date format should I use?
- In the US the usual format on forms and contracts is month, day, year, such as 10/15/2026 or October 15, 2026. Use 2026-10-15 (ISO) for records and international documents, and match any format the document asks for.
Can I add other text, like my name or initials?
- Yes. Switch to Text and type anything: your printed name, a reference number or a note. Place as many dates and text boxes as you need, on any page.
Is my PDF uploaded?
- No. The PDF is opened and edited in your browser and never sent to our servers. Once the page has loaded you can turn off your Wi-Fi and it still works.
Can someone change the date afterwards?
- The date is written into the page like any other text, so a PDF editor could still change it. When the date of signing matters, an e-signature service records it automatically in the document’s signing record.
Do I need to add the date next to my signature?
